looks like a really good deal. This might make me finally buy one.

I thought they were gonna give out free fire extinguishers

Sounds like a fire sale to me

So you get a less than half the benchmark speed phone compared to the iPhone 7, a free firework display and some silly goggles that makes you look like Lady Gaga. Bargain!

Tempted.

What's the best price for the phone on its own elsewhere anyone?

This is the Galaxy S7, it is the Note 7 that has the exploding battery recall...wrong phone.

participating retailers only, so not necessarily your cheapest online store etc. Even Amazon doesn't appear to be on the list which is a bit strange.

i like both iOS and android (just bought iPad Pro for annotation) but as an Edge owner I dread to think how bad the VR would be even with 7+! As it halves the resolution so each eye sees 720p from the S7... imagine the 7 at 750p halved! it's a great experience but not the sharpest with the Samsung!

I'm still going to try with an amazon purchase, they are bigger than any of those stores! Why do you have to wait 30 days though, are they hoping you will forget to claim!

u won't get a chance to use the fire extinguisher when it blows your hand or face off

They need to validate your purchase, otherwise most people would buy and return phone within 28 days, just claiming valid receipt before and selling gear vr on ebay after

Purchases from auction websites (e.g. eBay), from third party sellers on online retailers’ websites (e.g. Amazon Marketplace), are specifically excluded from this promotion.

I appreciate that, however mine was directly from amazon, not from their market place which confuses me why they are not on the list.

Do you run crysis on your iphone, if not then keep sucking tim cooks pea pod

Edge has a much longer battery life, headphone jack, better looking, better camera, more ram( so desktop websites dont force safari to close or constantly refresh)

I bought one last week so i don't qualify. so sad so so sad.

iPhone could increase battery life too by being slower also extra ram is needed to compensate for the horrendously written os

Better looking is a personal taste thing but I agree with you the Samsung is better looking

I have an iPhone 6s and my OH has a s6 with a gear VR. It's the one feature I would really like that I don't have.

Silly question but does include taking a contract out or just buying the phone outright?

I was thinking the same...not sure...

640 quid for an S7 Edge? Sounds a lot to me.

The Gear headset adds a lot of useful functionality too whereas iPhones are limited to the basic cardboard apps. Apple have said augmented reality is where they want to be though which is a shame!

£599 appears to be the best price I can find from participating stores.

Let me know if anyone can beat that.

i don't know if this is a good deal or not, £600+ for a s7 edge does seem quite a lot.
