There was a family pass freebie posted in May - the barcode is the same for every sign up. Here's a screenshot. I've used it without issue. Expires September 4th.

    Excluded properties: nationaltrust.org.uk/fea…ion

Just used this today so its still valid, sadly seems like its not valid this weekend.

Why does National Trust want to be linked with these papers? Why not iffer one pound entry per family directly?
Not saying I agree with NT, but I think the logic behind it is they are advertising with Reach Plc (formerly Trinity Mirror) who own 240 regional newspapers as well as the national ones. So, likely reasoning is more people will see the offer this way than direct and thus they will make money via the NT cafes, etc

Thanks OP just bought the Express. Cut out voucher is to the left page of page 31 (depending on how the NT promo has been inserted into the paper)

Slightly off track but a heads up - if you are an English Heritage member (the other guys from this offer) you can get free or reduced price entry to Scottish properties if you book direct on the venue’s site - e.g Edinburgh and Sterling castles for free? We did it not that long ago.
...half price for first year members and free for consecutive ones in Wales Cadw properties

    Doesn't apply to Scotland

That's because the National Trust is for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
  6. Avatar
sounds like you need the physical cut out voucher from the paper this time & its single use so its a lot more restrictive than previously when you could use the online barcode over & over again

Please consider donating or getting a drink in the shop while visiting using these passes. The National Trust is well worth supporting imo and unique compared to other countries around the world

I made use of this last time but staff were completely plummexed on what to do. The did not know how to enter the deal to the cash register then a team leader came and then just said 'they don't tell us anything " this was at stourhead.
    Lovely place to visit.

Got a free pass last time it was posted and visited chirk castle, great deal
That’s weird. We did the exactly the same. Those stone stairs up and down were a deathtrap!
  11. Avatar
Can just two adults use it?
Yes. I have done in the past with no issues.
  12. Avatar
Nice - thanks for the heads up! Sadly there isn't that great a choice in Northern Ireland, not sure if the weather will be good enough to venture that far over the weekend anyway (to be fair we never let the weather dictate if we leave the house - otherwise we would never leave the house!)
Can i be cheeky and have your voucher if you don't use it please? We are off on Monday and Tuesday 😁

Can anyone confirm if this is valid for 2 adults with no children?
Just been on my own yesterday, used old voucher valid till 4th September at Penrhyn Castle, all good
  14. Avatar
    Yes two adult is allowed
  15. Avatar
Hmm says there's a voucher to cut out and present at your National Trust destination.
May not be available online at all.
Might be worth buying two, or at least comparing two, to see if the voucher code is unique. If it's not you might be able to use it multiple times within the offer period.
  16. Avatar
anyone know how long the voucher will be valid for?
    30th November.
  17. Avatar
Car parking charges may still apply.
    £4 for the day typically

    How to claim:

Be sure to pick up your Daily Mirror from Saturday September 3, 2022 where you’ll find a voucher to cut out at present to a member of staff at your chosen National Trust site.

You could of course buy multiple papers (edited)
  19. Avatar
Does anyone know if this is available in the Scottish editions? I know it's not in Daily Record.
  20. Avatar
It’s not in the Scottish version of the Daily Express. Have just looked.

Not in Scottish version of Daily Star either 👎 (edited)
  21. Avatar
Missed this, is there a way to buy it tomorrow please ?
It’s in tomorrow’s (Sundays) Express and Mirror as well
  22. Avatar
Sorry if asked before, had a quick scan and couldn't see.

I guess there's nothing stopping you buying múltiple copies on the same day? Also, is each barcode unique?
I have 2 vouchers from different papers on diff days. There isn't a number under the barcode, just the lines. They look similar but could have a very small difference. You don't enter your details on the voucher, so I can't see any reason you can't use multiple vouchers to enter on diff days/diff properties

"I won't buy that paper" vs "It's not in today's paper?"
    Which will get more replies?

Good find OP, a cheap day out. Thanks and heat (edited)

Christ £1.10 for a paper last time purchased one it was 30p
    Same…and my thought exactly.

Will this works for Penrhyn castle? It is not on the exempt list so it should works right? I do 't want to travel there just to be rejected.
We used the free Family Pass at Penrhyn Castle and it worked fine. It's definitely worth a visit especially when it's free!

We went to BaraFundle Bay in South Wales yesterday……tried to use the voucher as above……the lad had no idea how to scan it as normally it’s a QR code and not a barcode so still had to pay 🤦‍♂️ This was for the car park though as you don’t pay to go there….I’m not sure if that’s the same for all National Trust Parks? (edited)
excludes parking charges everywhere. in the T&Cs.

£1.10 for the daily star! Blimey, that toilet rag cost about 30p when I was buying newspapers.
  31. Avatar
Do you have to buy today's paper? Looking online it says the promotion running from yesterday. If I can buy the Monday paper that would save a few pennies
deal not started yet, it's from Friday 2nd September Express, and from Saturday for other papers listed

Is this deal available from the Scottish versions of these newspapers, I am planning a trip to England next month and they would be handy. Is the pass in the paper or is it by passcode redemption?
If you're coming with kids, term time, check out the EH education offerings. You'll go free without passes.

I’m interested in sightsin London . Can I use the coupon at Hampton court palace ?
No. It’s not National Trust (edited)
  37. Avatar
I'd rather pay full price than buy the Express

Not for viewers in Scotland so they know where they can stick their paper
