Yeh I noticed a cross the board, prices have gone up with this silly cash back. I mean who wants to post stuff to lg with covid unless you can do this all online. I rather have cheaper prices then silly cash back.

If your talking about the F4V709WTS, then this was the one I was all set to buy..... I then looked at the Which report on it and it scored 63% and said it rinsed badly. All other reviews seem OK on it, but this put me off and I went for a Samsung Quickdrive WW80M645OPM (81%) in the end.

Which Review LGF4V709WTS :
OverviewThis is a good washing machine. In almost all of the most critical tests we carried out, this LG did a very good job. It tackles stains with gusto, delivering excellent results. It's very good at spinning and it's dead easy to use. But we felt let down with the rinse, which delivered poor results in our tests. And that's the prime reason why this otherwise excellent washing machine doesn't quite score highly enough to be a Best Buy.
What is it?
This is a freestanding washing machine from LG that has a 1,400rpm spin and room inside for around 9kg of cottons or 4kg of synthetics. It's officially energy efficient enough to carry an A+++ energy label, but that's now true of most new washing machines.
You can set it and monitor your wash - and the energy used - through a smartphone, if you have the Smart ThinQ app, and you can also use this to diagnose problems and download new wash programs.
A digital display shows the time remaining, and you can lock the control panel to stop tiny fingers from messing with your wash settings.
In our tests we managed to wash an almost full load of cottons at 40°C in just under four hours. You can speed up the whole process by using the 59-minute stripped-down TurboWash program.
What's it great at?
We really like the way this LG goes about the business of washing clothes. We tested it on both its cottons and its synthetics programs, washing at 40°C each time.
When set to wash cottons, it did a solid job of removing stains, leaving good results at the end of the wash. And on its synthetics program, it was nothing short of excellent at getting rid of stains.
The 1,400rpm spin does a good job of spinning water away from clothes in the drum and, overall, this LG is very easy to use.
Is there anything I should watch out for?
We found rinsing to be poor in our tests and, at just under four hours to wash an almost full drum load of cottons, wash times are on the long side, but there are ways to shorten them if you select TurboWash. Also, even though it carries an A+++ energy label, we found energy use to be relatively high in our tests.
Is there anything else I need to know?
It's not bad when it comes to the noise produced when washing - we've tested quieter machines, but this one certainly isn't noisy.
Among the wash programs, you'll find a steam setting to help wash and refresh clothes. And it comes with a two-year warranty.
Should I buy it?
LG washing machines generally have a lot going for them and should never be far from your thoughts when you need to buy a new machine. The F4V709STS washes well but doesn't quite make it to Best Buy status. So, if you're very keen on buying an LG, why not check out our LG Best Buys? There are plenty of them to choose from.
Thanks for that, really helpful.

Good Choice!! Which? verdict: Faultless washing and scored 81%.
Currys have it for £549 and the discount code LKA10A should give you 10% off. Maybe Quidco/Topcashback also.

Yes, went for the Quickdrive with Add Wash WW80M645OPM. Got it directly from Samsung using our student Log In for £543. Then there's a £100 cash back from Samsung. The add wash door was not important to me as most modern washing machines can be paused and the door opened. The review of the machine from Which and the good price (£443 in total) with 5 year warranty and 10 year motor was deciding.

Towner, did you get the £100 cashback back from Samsung on top of the student cashback? Just reading the T+C and wondering if it's conflicting. Cheers!
