i stay here every year it is very central to everything ..bus 50 stop is right outside the hotel .loads of shops and dennys is around the corner great location in my opinion
so is this for a family of children not of school age or have left school at 16 and not gone on to further/higher education? because there are no school holidays then, especially for 2 weeks!
Have stayed here all 7 of our trips. Good clean & basic hotel within walking distance of plenty of places to eat. They do free buses to the parks & some shopping outlets but we haven't used them since our first trip.
Disney springs/downtown disney is a 2 mile walk if you're up for it!

One tip, don't have a meal in the hotel. We found them full of salt & nasty. We're bad the day after.
Its a realy nice hotel. We stayed there last june, ive been to florida a few times. This is one of the better hotels. Have a look at the breakfast option!!! Looks well worth it.

It's for people willing to take their children out of school. You are looking at 3 or 4 times this price in school holidays no doubt
Stayed here last year for a week basic place breakfast was fine, you won't be spending much time in your hotel so why pay for somewhere thats overpriced.
I wouldn't even bother getting a hire car just set up an uber account it's so cheap and easy to get everywhere, Max $20 and 5 min wait to get to any of the parks and then you don't have to pay for parking.
Recommend going to Busch gardens in Tampa, by far the best park in Florida there's a coach that leaves from seaworld. Avoid volcano bay, overcrowded and not that enjoyable although the design is pretty cool, aquatic is much quiter and has better rides.
Make sure to get to the parks early 15-20 mins before they open so you can avoid some ques for the newer rides and attractions.

And those that home educate
Great find mate, just changed to Bristol for 15/6 and got it for £1264. Stayed here last year. Ubered everywhere for approx $5-10 a pop. Awesome!
If you plan on doing dinsey parks its litteraly as close to the parks as you can get without staying in a disney hotel. There is a dominos pizza walking distance and its cheep as!!!! Wifi is good in rooms too.
Cracking price for a pre-school family.

I am fully aware of the struggle as I am a parent of children of varying ages and like family holidays. Price increases during school holidays should be outlawed

It should be but it won't be because it's when travel agents etc make the most money. They know people will pay it especially in the summer holidays
Stayed here a couple of times. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
Olive garden etc.
Premium outlets 5 minute drive.
Disney springs 5 minute drive.

They run a free shuttle from the car park.

Free car parking within the hotel.

Free WiFi.

Travel agents don’t set the price, blame the tour operators not them.
Have you ever considered the expensive school holiday rate is the normal price and the cheap school term dates are heavily discounted? Not everything is a conspiracy.

Such is life... nothing new there... money making business... however at this price, paying school fines still makes it worth it...
Everywhere you look, school holidays are doubled in price. Even stays in the country double in price.

We've just booked 4 weeks in Orlando in August, flights were £1230 and hotel was £940 for four of us... Per week it works out cheaper than this. Our flights are a pain as we're not flying into Florida so we'll have a drive to get there but we love a road trip, so it can be done.

Do you not think we need an overhaul of the school holiday system? It's not just the pricing that's the problem but also everywhere is so busy at those times. It wouldn't be hard to scrap the 6 week holiday and have more two week holidays through the year and then each county has different dates for all their schools. It makes perfect sense to me.

Isn't that time of year hurricane season? The in-laws went last year August/September and got hit really bad. Spent the whole holiday trying to get home

Yeah it is, obviously you can't plan the weather so we just go with the flow, we've been in august 4 times and never been hit bad, we've got lucky, if we do get hit though we'll just follow the weather and go to Texas or Cuba or something, we always find a way to have fun.... I'll even do the 20hr drive to Canada if need be.

"Tropical cyclones have affected Florida in every month of the year with the exceptions of January and March. Nearly one-third of the cyclones affected the state in September, and nearly three-fourths of the storms affected the state between August and October, which coincides with the peak of the hurricane season."

They're also predicting one brewing up right now which wouldn't be good for the dates on this deal.

The downside of that idea is many people have family spread across the country so it would be next to impossible to plan a extended family holiday.

A downside yes but if areas had overlap at different times of the year it could still work. Certainly better than the current system. Plus there's always Xmas.
