I wear Clarks every day (I have 5 or 6 pairs of desert boots/originals etc) and they are as comfy still as the day I bought them. No rot anywhere!

People dont have money and sales r on mmmmmm
As shown on BBC Watchdog 28 November 2018 when Watchdog reported on problems with disintegrating Clarks shoes. Rubbish shoes - they just disintegrate, rot and fall apart. Check your wardrobes - yours may well be rotting too. Worse still, Clarks just don't want to offer any reasonable kind of help. Awful company, awful shoes. Cheap, poor quality imports sold at inflated prices:

The issue is probably hydrolysis which won't affect all shoes and will depend on the chemical makeup of the shoe itself

How lucky you were. Thousands of others ended up with liquid shoes and precious little help from the rapacious Clarks.

Biter bit now though, and all the bad publicity has hurt a business selling poor quality at high prices.

Last accounts showed a loss of £83m, and the previous year £31m. Big shop closure plan now overtaken by Coronavirus closure of all shops. The writing looks to be on the wall.
For past 6 years I've worn Clark's as my office work shoes & usually walk a mile or 2 every lunchtime too. I find its usually the soles that let some designs down. Uppers are great & a pair last a year or so on average. Shame if its true about the shops as the staff in them are great.
