Does it claim tax credits for 6 little chicks back home in Warsaw?

i usethe fresh chicken from iceland regardless off country and is fresh , and plump better than some of the supermarkets and this is a good price as it works out £4 a kilo

Does it taste different to British chicken then as it's from Poland?

I'm unsure why British supermarket chicken would be used as a benchmark unless this place is full of Farage/Robinson cronies.

Sadly it's just supermarket chicken and therefore I vote cold although as a bargain, I guess this hot. Quandary

this deal seems to have ruffled a few feathers

Not British? No thanks!

Populism.

Strange comments,
I'm sure most people on here eat ready meals, take away Curry's etc. , or eat in restaurants, and have no idea where the Chicken they are eating comes from. So baffled why it matters now. Also the majority of the frozen chicken portions sold in our shops is also foreign yet there seems to be a mass market for that.

.... Patriotism!
People asking what is it like. I bought three packs last time it was on offer and whichever way I cooked it it ended up tough.and hard to chew
I asked my mother who keeps and kills her own chickens. She said it was most likely an old cock or retired layer rather than a chicken reared for meat

Racism has had a rebrand.

The same ones whinging about the country of origin are the same ones who immediately drop their standards in the kebab house at 3am after a skinfull.

You honestly believe that is patriotism?

I care about country of origin due to welfare standards. Also other countries use far more growth hormones etc. A lot of iceland food comes ready packaged straight from Asia. I worked in import control at Southampton docks!

But if we reverted back to ethical sources the price of goods and food would increase astronomically. People may complain, but nobody is prepared to be out-of-pocket in order to boycott these sources for the welfare of others and higher quality produce.

This is a deals site not a moralising one. The only questions you should be asking of this deal are, is it good quality and is it a good price, all else is irrelevant.

No they don't. Don't make the mistake of thinking the majority of the country shares your view.

Would be a fairly boring site if that was the case.
But yes, feel free to disregard your morals for the sake of a good deal.

I thought all iceland food came from iceland

100% agree.Even the so called British chicken is from Poland and Holland. It's how they word it on the packaging.

No it has as many chicks as possible as young as possible so it can get free housing and state handouts without having to work, then looks down on chickens from other countries and blames them for all of its problems.

Well... just wonder what you claim judging after level of your comment!

'Packed in Poland' seems a bit vague - why don't they put where they're from?

Mother clucking good deal, eggcellent price at £4 a kilo. Think I will spread my wings today and and fly to my local as this has made me a very chirpy old cock!

I believe the Icelandic government would dispute this

We buy the 2kg packs of this and very little water infact we bought a couple packs from our local butcher and had plenty of water come from his chickens
