Wouldn't say your name in a hurry op!

These are brilliant and all comes apart to clean, a year later it's still as good as new

Would love a kitchen aid but budget won't stretch. Anyone who is into baking know is this likely to compare. Yes I don't need sarky comments re price etc just need an honest review and opinion. Cheers

Best off getting a stand mixer rather then this as it will not rotate and mix everything properly (I had one) you will have to do it by hand in the end. invested in a Kenwood kmix and never looked back! as the beater on kmix/kitchen aid rotates around to mix it all in and the beaters on this just rotate in one spot iykwim!

Is this better than a kitchen aid?

This is a very old joke......
A sales rep arrives at reception in an engineering company and says to female receptionist "Hi there, I'm Mike Hunt from Acme Ball Bearings. Can you please ask if anyone wants to see me?"
Receptionist then tannoys to whole factory "There's a rep from Acme Ball Bearings in reception. Would anyone like to see Mike Hunt?". Whole factory erupts into peals of laughter, leaving receptionist totally bemused.

with a price difference of about £200, I don't think you can compare the two/three.

Nothing beats a kitchen aid, however this seems better then your standard hand mixer and at a good price too .. Heat from me Op!

Sorry it's a good price but is basically a hand mixer fixed to a stand.....it may be OK for light sponges & batters but I doubt it would cope with a heavier fruit cake mix & the dough hooks are pointless as it would be useless for bread dough

I am by no means a professional. Not sure I could do justice to a kitchen aid. Something that is robust and does the job of day to day baking.

Tesco have a similar machine on clearance. Think I saw it on here the other day as well. Can't remember the make but it's a well known one for the sabe price and the mixer can be used separate to the stand.

A 400W output is very poor indeed.

At least with the 3 year guarantee when you burn the motor out you can get a refund (keep your receipt)

Echeckter button, your're choking?

We have looked in 3 Aldi shops for a Green Classic Food Mixer - £34.99 Aldi (Sun 15 Mar 2015) But the shops only had only RED Mixers. Is there any way you could help us purchase a green mixer through or on line - Thanking You Roy

Sorry. Turntable is really flimsy. The beaters don't reach to the edge or the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is plenty big enough at 4 litres, if you're not a serious baker. But all in all, at £34.99, what are you expecting? My local Aldi are superb with their Customer Service, so any problems with products are quickly resolved.

In the Aldi stores by use we have only been sent the White/cream mixers as the green and red ones they sent had a fault with them and the paint was falling off , you may have a similar problem with the green ones in your area i was after a red one myself

Just bought a classic but the speed seems so very fast on number 1 - and would only use this number as I think the higher would be far too much. Am I being picky for the price??
