Claud Butler Vicenza Gents Road Bike 2013 £359.99 @ James Cycles

Admittedly an older bike but there are some savings to be had. I think the weight is 9.64kg.

Apply the code TDF10 at the checkout to get 10% off (I believe the code expires tonight). There are some other bikes that are 40% and you can use the code to get another 10% off, it doesn't work on all bikes though?

Lightweight, fast and graceful, this range has been designed with the enthusiast, racer and sportive rider in mind. Many of the bikes come with compact gearing to give a similar spread of gears as a triple chainwheel, but with the weight saving and better aesthetics of a double, making them especially suitable for the growing number of sportive and challenge events now held throughout the UK.

Frame 6061 alloy.
Fork Carbon.
Headset alloy with balls.
Crank FSA CK 4000 34 50.
Gears 20 speed shimano Tiagra with STI.
Brakes Tektro alloy dual pivot.
Wheels alloy hub with double wall aero rim.
Tyres 700 x 23.
Bar alloy drop 31.8 compact.
Stem alloy ahead.
Seat Post alloy.
Saddle Velo Race.
Pedals resin with clips.

50cm and 53cm in stock only

Tiagra at that price! Good find.

Looks a very good spec for the money. Shame the biggest frame size available is 53cm.

I like the look of that as already said, shame about the limited sizes available. Voted any road.

States code expires yesterday in the terms. Although not tried it at checkout

Bike shaped object, as in a bike that's not very good, used to mean the sub £99 rubbish

Beautiful bike. Would have bought it if there were bigger sizes in stock.

Not a bad bike.

Bloody show off.

How do you work out what frame size is correct for you?

It's £360. Change wheels and get the weight down.

9.64kg - COLD!

Please explain why a 9.64kg £360 road bike with these specs makes it a cold deal? Should we expect a lighter bike for this price? If so, please provide some links to those lighter, equally speced bikes, for the same price. Thanks.

Perhaps he was just joking?

New to the road bike scene myself and I understand that if you have a pukka bike you will enjoy the riding more (maybe).
Being a big (fat) boy at 95 kg, 9.6kg bikes are gonna be fu*k all different from a bike weighing 6kg.
That being said I bought the felt 95 last year and it's great!
This from my limited knowledge tiagra, carbon forks etc looks good value for money from a respectable brand. Heat!

I like the spec and what it looks like. Hot

Bloody silly oldgit ?

Please help me understand if there would be a difference between a 70KG man riding a 9.5KG and a 71KG man riding a 8.5KG bike?

I know Claus butler aren't a trendy name, however I have had a sora geared one for over 10 years and hardly had a issue. Still looks and rides great .

BTW, How many road bike users actually compete in "sportifes". Seem to be the fashionable thing to put on a bike description.

I am sorry. I was just trying to scroll down and my thumb hit the cold arrow. This is a hot deal from my side. Hope I could revoke my action!!

Looks a very good deal for the outlay
I see we have the bike pra t'ts out in this thread again!

Thanks for sharing the link, however, I don't think it's answering my question.

This seems a great spec for the price. I don't have one admittedly .. Got a Ribble with all the carbon bells and whistles .. which is great at around 6 bags of sugar and a couple of eggs . It's fine for me and I really burn up the miles .. At 110kg tho who gives a monkeys . I'm no Bradley W !!! .. It's about people getting out on a bike and enjoying it. If they get into it then they will buy the up -spec that they want ... But I doubt there is much better out there at this price . Credit where it is due op .. !! For the snobs ... Go buy a £40 nut that shaves 10g off the weight .... Or a good razor and give yourself a special haircut !
