Seems like a good deal for a budget road bike / trainer. This bike (and others on the site) are 30 to 40% cheaper than Evans, who seem to delight in being the only choice in the Cycle2work scheme for some companies (including mine..) ok, it may be last years' model, but can you beat £293 including delivery?

Decathlon Triban 3 looks far better @299 with carbon forks..

I agree it is a good alternative.. but would the carbon forks make that much difference at this price level?

If someone was going to buy this bike, they would be better off avoiding the over-administrative cycle2work scheme, and buying the bike direct, on a credit card. (Worth covering yourself!)
FYI, here is the Evans cost for the 2011 version, a whacking great £160 more..

Aren't pretty much all frames made in Tawain and China nowadays - even the top brands.

Claude Butler are part of Tandem Group as are Dawes and Falcon not sure if they produce any bicycles in the UK any more. Raleigh have moved most of their production to Asia too.

Only 23" frame left which at 5'9" would be too big for me.

vietnam taiwan oh dear
