A brutal scourge stalks the land. Yoma, monsters driven by a hunger satisfied by only one quarry - Humanity.

The dark breed knows but a singular foe: Claymore. Human-Yoma hybrids of extraordinary strength and cunning, the Claymores roam from skirmish to skirmish delivering salvation by the edge of a blade. Thus continues the twisting tale of Clare, one such sister of the sword driven by pain in both victory and defeat. Whispers of conspiracy fill the air, but the gravest peril is not hidden. Enter Ophelia, a Claymore of joyful cruelty with a zealot's devotion to the massacre of all who have Awakened. And Clare will suffer as her prey. Flesh will fall from bone, but there will be no rest until Teresa is avenged.

Very good series defo worth watching!

Ending is awful. Still, get it anyway.

really loved this series, although I agree with the post just above ending could have been much better

One of my favorite series, this. Ending was a bit lame, but pretty solid in other areas.

Corking price for what is supposed to be a good series.

I have this. Never got down to watching it. I shall now.

Great anime, have some heat.

Easily in my top 5 animes. HOT HOT HOT

Ending was lame because, it cut off from the Manga, the main story is still going, and the Manga has really got exciting now.

Couldn't agree more.

*Sigh* As soon as I find out about a cool looking anime, everyone always says they hate the endings and I don't like to commit to a new series knowing it's gonna end bad. Do the animation studios just run out of budget or is it poor planning from the beginning?

In this case I believe that the studio was restricted to 26 episodes, so rather than trying to cram the entire manga storyline into it they chose to create an ending specifc to the anime. It's a shame that they did this, as no matter what reception Claymore had they wouldn't be able to continue the storyline of the manga without redoing a lot of episodes. It shouldn't put you off watching it

If you really want an anime with a decent story and ending you should watch Code Geass. Every season has an excellent cliff hanger.

Thanks, looks like it's going to be released by anime legends at the end of may and they usually have reasonable prices. ^_^

Code Geass is excellent, you won't be disappointed. You should also check out Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood if (like me) you're into your anime.

This is £1 cheaper at Zavvi - as posted by the Hamster: hotukdeals.com/dea…416

However if (like me) you have an unused 10% off voucher for the Hut or are buying something else so you can use the £2,3,4 vouchers then this is still a hot deal.

I'd nearly ordered from Zavvi before I remembered I'd had a 10% off voucher...

OMG no one buy this. This series is the usual modern day anime. Contrived and over dramatic. Plus theres no ending.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check out Code Geass.

I don't mind condensing a manga into a a 26 ep anime series, but why are the adaptations so poorly written when it comes to the endings?
