it's this price pretty much everywhere.

Does Parott Bluetooth mean you also need a Parott kit? As in, this doesnt full at a bluetooth handsfree straight out of the box?

Probably a silly question!

Very true, but if you live near a halfords that has it in stock its much easier to pop in and buy it as opposed to online. Cuts out some hassle in some cases. Halfords "clearance" discount may very well make it reasonable priced, but i can't find it the same price or cheaper anywhere on the high street And also for that price you get one hell of a head unit!

Not really "iphone ready" if it needs an adaptor...

whatcar.com/car…745

Allegedly £180 way back in March 2009.
Dropped £10 for clearance a year later..bargain..honest.

True again, but halfords definitely didn't have it at this price in march last year, and i was under the impression it was released Q4 last year so not march? That may have been an early review and an estimated price, we know how good estimated retail prices are.

I think it boils down to i can't find a better choice and quality for £170, unless you care to point me in the that direction

From that link as well:

OverallPut price into the equation and the Alpine is the best unit here.

Which sums up what i think! And this deal, hasn't been posted here before even if it is a decent price, so i thought i'd add it

I have this unit, paid for the Ipod attachment around £40 however I will leave the pricing issue alone for a minute and confirm that the sound quality (speakers dependent) is excellent, I run my unit off 4 x infinity speakers and a Fusion Sub and the sound is wonderful.

Oh I forgot: The bluetooth is fantastic too, clean and cuts off the radio / cd / ipod when a call comes through !

seems alot... u can get similar spec much cheaper
