to be fair there are 1000's of items in that clearance, stands to reason that there will be good and bad.... but i applaude you on finding the worst
Well just because it's clearance doesn't mean it's reduced. Lots of their stuff is in clearance but without reduction.
I bought a hoody thanks. heat from me!
This place never fails to amaze me, folk go out of their way to post deals to help folk out, I don't know why they bother, thanks OP
Jeez I just ordered around £100 worth of dresses for over the party season so thank you, don't know if my husband would also thank you but hey ho!! ;-)
They've had a clearance section all year

That's the problem, the OP didn't really bother. The guides clearly state that you must include the price and that should stop this kind of post. I could spend all day listing every store on here if like this post all I had to do was post that a store is selling some stuff, which might be cheap. The details are important and this post lacks them.

That's a fair point - I have realised if you put posts with specific links/details about the deal, what the savings are etc. even if people aren't necessarily going to buy it you get encouraging response, but generic posts (even if they are really good, where it requires people to open the website and look around) always gets slammed.

Well thanks for your support... Ive been a member 12 days i can't be expected to have to perfect listing..... try being a bit more supportive and less critical and i might be able to improve.
I saw 100's of good deals on that website i couldn't list them all and i did my best, i am sorry it doesn't meet the standard required.

You only had to follow a simple guide which was clearly stated in the area you typed. Unless you have only been able to read for 12 days you don't have an excuse. As for support, because of the effort you made I didn't vote cold, but a tiny amount more effort would have got you a heat added response from me and most people. If there are several good deals it's acceptable to post them separately with the details. How many you post is entirely up to you.

Ive seen many people criticized for listing many items from one shop, so it seems whatever i try and do it wouldn't meet somebodies standards.
As for voting cold, you vote cold if its a bad deal, not for being a bad listing surely?
Besides in this instance i don't think another cold vote will make any difference...lol

Some people seem to make a career out of ranting about how terrible a deal is or why you shouldn't post so many deals from one shop. You will also get people voting cold no matter how good the deal is and all to often these are people who have not posted a single deal themselves. Generally if a deal is good the heat will exceed the cold. As for voting a bad listing cold, it happens a lot and we could spend all day discussing the pros and cons of that issue. My vote may not have made any real difference, but I try to be fair and that's the best I can do.

Well to be fair several of the current 'hukd top pick' deals are using the same listing format as i have, so I hope you can understand why i am confused on how to approach things
can't beat house of fraser deals.. bloody fantastic... done all my xmas shopping in house of fraser bargains this year..saved a fortune... heat added
Thanks PrincessJellybean for the heads up regarding the clearance. I for one will be looking to see what is available no matter that you did not itemise particular products. Who cares! You gave us the opportunity to check it out and choose for ourselves. Well done! Heat from me.

I do understand in general, but out of interest I would like to see what you are referring to. Could you provide a link to one please?

It is not about me saying it's the wrong way. My original reply was to explain why you were getting more cold than hot votes. Most people also fail to follow the guides when voting cold without explanation. The guides from HUKD themselves are very clear and almost impossible to miss. Your post failed to follow them in a significant way. Other people also break them and sometimes still get voted hot. Even great deals that follow the guides have been voted cold. It's not fair and HUKD do almost nothing to stop it.
I also just checked the top ten deals listed today and all except one listed the price. The one that didn't, an xbox deal, was a freebie listed in the wrong section and people appear more forgiving when they can get something for free.
I don't see what the issue is, if someone is good enough to post a heads up about a sale then I'm more than happy to have a nose around myself. As for separate listings, maybe OP's should buy the stuff and send it round in a taxi? That means we wouldn't need to lift a finger for ourselves
Well I picked up my dresses that I ordered and I am over the moon with them. Will be wearing one this evening as hubby is taking me away to a hotel, so excited! The jeans are excellent too so again thanks for the post, I was happy to nose about the site and see what I fancied.
