My thought exactly! Very cheap for lightsabers. They’re lead-free and low in mercury too! Can’t find stock anywhere however...

Low in mercury. You would be able to smash them of each other.(only when wearing full protective gear,((times have changed)) like they need nowadays even to play conkers),

You just hold the end.Quote from internet below.

The effect is because the power lines induce an alternating magnetic field around themselves as they conduct electricity. The higher the current being carried by the cables, the greater the effect as magnetic field density is proportional to current. In this case, the cables were carrying current for half of Oxford, so quite a lot. The alternating magnetic field induces a voltage across conductors (in this case the tube) and a current is set up which is enough to light the tubes.
As it happens, I need a 4ft tube. 1214mm indeed!!

Gonna try that will post it on YouTube
Works with damaged tubes as long as they're still sealed, the electricity excites the mercury vapour which causes the powder to glow. A strong radio transmission will have a similar effect.
Plasma globe works too, possibly slightly safer than standing below HT power lines.
