This is my fave Sci-fi film. The scene where the ship comes over mountain and the communicate with the note still gives me goosies!

Does blu ray make much of a difference over traditional DVD for this movie?

Is the high def noticable?

You do notice the difference but be aware, there are scenes where plenty of grain is noticeable...I thought this may be a problem for me as I'd only really seen flagship discs up until that point...Wall-E etc...but it made no difference to my enjoyment. If you like this film get this disc, it's fabulous!
