Argos Seconds B
This professionally refurbished item shows obvious cosmetic marks or damage to the screen / outer casing, such as moderate to heavy scratches, scuffs or marks. This does not affect the functionality and is purely cosmetic.

this so dear as i bought it last month for forty pound deliver and the wi fi range is really short for instance if you want to use the internet you will need to sit on top of the router.

People are voting cold a 10" dual core tablet for £60? I'll grant you it's not the nippiest tablet around but for £60 you can't go too wrong as long as you don't expect high end quality. It'll browse the net, play videos, do Facebook and all that.

There must have been something wrong with the one you got, send it back.

The negative feedback is hilarious! Argos Seconds seem to reply with Apologies your purchase developed a fault X)

They are called Argos Seconds for a reason, what do customers expect. X)

whats wrong with them and why is it so cheap?

And they vote hot for one thats £100+ and the same power.

I bought thesingle core 10.1" last year from Argos ebay outlet for I think £50.
For £50 its an ok tablet. I take it on holiday.....it's not as fast as say an i pad but it connects to wifi sat round the pool, plays video, d/l books, plays most games......if it gets nicked I'd be pee'd off but better to lose a CNM than an i pad.
The OP's version been dual core will play more games than my older single core version and be faster on the net. The reviews for my version were poor but people were actually returning them because it couldn't connect to BBCi player, when a quick google showed a few internal tweeks and i player was up and running.

whats wrong with them and why is it so cheap?

Probably because they are returns and because they are fairly cheap to begin with. The screen won't be great quality with poor viewing angles, the processor will be an older version that runs slower than modern equivalents and the graphics sub processor is probably underpowered.

That's not to say it won't be adequate for everyday tasks but don't expect a whizzy experience like the top end tablets. It will probably be slower on loading up apps by a second or two, the screen will be a bit less clear than high ends (not that most people will notice in reality), it may struggle with high end games with intensive graphics ( if you don't play those games who cares) etc etc.

i have had two of these got a refund second time as both died same way so got rid and got a nexus I instead smaller screen but worth the money no it disrespecting the post but there not worth the money

"Probably because they are returns and because they are fairly cheap to begin with. The screen won't be great quality with poor viewing angles"

It's an IPS screen so you can view the screen from any angle and the quality when watching video is excellent, even sport!

Resolution 1024 x 600 pixels.

1280x800 according to a few places.

Still lower than I'd expect for such s large panel.

I wanted to vote this hot as it does appear to be a good deal, however I'm voting cold for these 2 reasons:

Doesn't post to Northern Ireland

So not really "professionally" refurbished then?

Exact same as me. Returned both of mine due to one developing a fault when i went to update firmware and the other when the screen started displaying lines right across it after a few days use. To be fair Argos Seconds paid for the return postage and refunded with next to no issues. I would however NEVER purchase anything with the CnM brand on it again. Their customer support is non-existant.

I emailed them on the 27th December, sent them a message on Facebook the same day, sent them a message on Twitter and i have had no reply. Even tried to call their "support" number and the automated line wouldn't recognise key strokes to speak to someone.

Seems an "ok" tablet, and the price is great but the resolution....

Resolution 1024 x 600 pixels

....seems not that good for a 10 inch tablet.

I am assuming that the resolution is the same as the white one that Argos has advertised at £150 on their site.

I think that one went over your head

Bought one before Christmas, screen is the worst i've seen on a tablet and the viewing angle is woeful. Spend a little extra and get something decent.

This is for sale at cclonline.com (TAB00390), although currently out of stock, for £79.99 and advertises the screen resolution at 1280x800 and also has HDMI if the same model

Whilst IPS screens should indeed be as you say I've seen some shocking ones, so much so that despite all the literature insisting they are I'm pretty sure they'd just put a poor LCD in instead!

Although it wont matter to 90% of people, just a note that CnM have just gone into Administration so any future updates may be unlikely.

Hi, would this be better/an improvement on a HP Touchpad? Thanks

Having hundreds of products being sold as refurbished cant be good, especially when a percentage of the refurbished products will also be returned due to poor quality/faulty goods.

What are the laws regarding how many times can a retailer sell a refurbished product as refurbished ? X)

Argos seem to sell half their stock as refurbished these days.

I heard the company behind CnM have gone into liquidation

I heard the company behind CnM have gone into liquidation

Correct.

I'm not surprised that these have been reduced to that price as it is hit and miss whether you get one that works. So far had 2 of which neither charged correctly. I'm sure if you get one that works it looks ok but quality is not guaranteed (hence seconds!)

In fairness the customer services for argos seconds have been very good but they shouldn't be selling goods that are clearly 'broken'

A small video showing the tablet:
youtube.com/watch?v=UYD7s4te7dw

youtube.com/watch?v=F4CJvs2mSTY
This 2nd video suggests 1280 res x 800 (last 10 seconds of benchmark test)

These are awful, we had two before we kicked off and got our money back - they are built to a price - the screens will break with a slight knock (say, sliding off the edge of the sofa onto the floor) - the touchscreens are not the most responsive, with areas becoming unusable intermittently for no reason. Avoid.

Where does it say it has HDMI out?

Well it wasn't there when I last looked X)

Thanks mate, I was looking in the spec

You'd expect it to be listed in the specs. Tempted, but seems to have mixed reviews here. The videos make the screen look OK on youtube , but a few people stating its rubbish.

this time last year a crappy 7" would have cost this much, now you have a 10" with Dual Core and 1gig ram, its a good deal.
Have the 7" one same spec works great

Thanks OP - ordered one this a.m.
