Didn't take the leaflet, but I just got 20% discount on a spend in Co-op (Cheltenham, Montpellier Walk).

They had the details on a leaflet, I'm pretty sure it said it ends on the 21st of October.

Can't find anything online about it either.

Went back to the store for the leaflet. Website here.

Not sure if it is store specific. Hopefully not a goose chase, and helps a person or two.

10% off for all NUS Extra cardholders at all times.

Store specific. co-operative.coop/fin…us/ to check whether your local does the discount.

Including alcohol, wonder if Jim Morrison's will also oblige the discerning drinker that is the young scholar?

Not much of a deal given Co-op are typically 20% overpriced...

I'm in the south east.
I have always been told that they do not.

Just got 10% in Sittingbourne

Depends on the franchise, not necessarily area. For example belper town centre doesn't, but the other belper store 1 mile away does.

Also the coop card has changed, it gives 5% off or 5% cash back the card (can't remember which), combined with my NUS and cash back amex card it works out quite cheap for some stuff, especially as the till constantly churns out spend £20 get £2 off vouchers too every visit

Well items which are £1 everywhere e.g. Tangfastics for £1 would make them 80p.
That would definitely be voted a hot deal!

10% off baby formula isn't to be sniffed at, 20% even better

Nus card is on the way. Good time for co op to give 20% discount. Heat added

Used mine in lots of Scottish stores without issue. Many staff were not clued up about it but just asked them to swipe it and it worked fine.

I've been refused in both the Co-Op's local to me in Stirchley/ Cotteridge in Birmingham with just the normal 10% discount. The staff member at the till said it was only valid if I used it in a Central England store.

I was told by the cashier, if you have coop membership card, from 21st September you get 20℅ off on all coop products

Baby milk formula is never on promo offer anywhere, and won't be included in this discount. That's because to do so is against the law.

It's also why baby milk is not advertised. (Only follow-on formula, it's milk for babies aged 6+ months)

hmmm that's a store breaking the law. I would keep quiet about that. presuming stage 1 is first 6 months, I can't remember anymore.

Yep £8 a tub, I usually get 6 at a time with no questions asked

Some Co-Ops can't do student discount if you give them the Co-Op loyalty card first, I think it is called dividends card. Either the software messes up or the till operators just don't know how to get around it.

Daft comment considering it's a convenience store not a supermarket. The likes of Tesco and Sainsbury are also known to have varying prices between certain product lines at different size stores.

You may also find offers at the Co-op which are closely matched to equivalent supermarket offers. In this case a card offering an additional 20% discount would make the Co-op on these occasions the cheaper alternative.

But what about the OAPs?
WONT SOMEONE THINK OF THE OAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are surrounded by co-op stores where I live, and compared to the other main supermarkets I find co-op stores pretty bad in terms of staff / service, variety and quality of food and prices / offers (the very limited one in this post is a good example). They also have a convoluted loyalty system. Sorry for the mini-rant, maybe I'm the only one who feels this way.

It's only NUS Extra right? Or does regular NUS work as well? You've normally got to pay for the extra card. When I had one years ago it was £10

does anyone know if it is 20 % off in scottish stores?

Normal NUS get 10% (or possibly the 20 in this case)

Same in Yardley store.

You

The Co-op loyalty scheme has always been crap. They don't even seem able to send out key fobs, which would make it so much easier to earn loyalty points. Here's hoping they've actually included some key fobs under this new scheme.
