Really? thats why is cold ?

I think it's cold because you can most often either get the 1 litre for £1 or 1.5 litre for £1.50 on offer. Heat from me though because its Classic Coke!

Already started mate
Wasn’t that long ago that you’d get 2 X 2ltr for £2 when on offer.

Don’t get the reason why soft drinks general have near doubled in price in 5 years.

Perhaps you can explain it to me then, seeing as you obviously do not live under a rock on the moon.

5 years ago you could buy 2 X 2Ltr of Diet Coke from Tesco/other supermarkets when they were on special. Now it's 2 X 1.5Ltr for £3 when on special.

Yes, this deal is for Coke which is affected by Sugar Tax, but Diet Coke is always two for £3 too.

You didn't specify anything about diet/light variants in the post I quoted.
Further, as the deal itself is for Original Coke, one would not reasonably expect your statement to be about about Diet, particularly as you did not mention it.

Original Coke is, as you say, affected by the sugar levy.
Other variants are priced differently, and you can often find diet Coke at a lower price for the same bottle size. Last time I checked, Sainsbury's had a concurrent offer where original Coke was £3 for 2*1.5l bottles, Zero and Diet were £2.50 for the same size.
5 years is a long time, costs have risen for many things over this period. The soft drinks manufacturers have also used the sugar levy to obfuscate their pricing, with both hidden price rises due to 'shrinkflation', and more obvious unit price rises across their ranges.
