should be as its a fillet

Any fish experts know about cod being full of worms. I got told this and it put me right off. I eat haddock only now but miss the big flakey cod chunks.

Very true but im trying not to fet put off as I like cod and it's very healthy. just keep checking between each flake while eating.

Do you have to buy the whole fish or can you buy in kg?
If it's the whole fish hoe much does it typically cost?

It's fillets, so shouldn't be whole fish. If it's whole fish, then it's not much of a bargain.

wish they would take the bones out

filleted fish means that its taken off the main back bone but still contains small bones as where a cod loin should be 100% boneless

This seems a good price. Hope it's not like Morrissons salmon fillets which are always full of bones and need tweezering out.

Nice! Will try pop in to get some next time I'm down there. Thanks op.

technically true, but depends entirely on where the fish was caught, in say cold Icelandic waters, where a huge proportion of cod, Pollock and the like come from, then they have little to no worms, they cant survive at such cold temperatures, where as in milder waters around out coast they flourish.

Make a great gift for mothering Sunday, cheaper than flowers as well

All fish have a parasite worm inside them. As the fillets warm up the parasite comes out for the warmth.....have a lokk n see....

Not my experience at all. Fresh Salmon, Cod, Sole, purchased numerous times from Morrisons, frozen at home and eaten days or weeks later. Superb. Maybe get your freezer checked.

I used to sea fish n when i froze fish bait at home it would fall off the hook very quickly, whereas the commercially bought frozen bait stayed on the hook .....enough said really...:)

Sure, and I'm Captain Birdseye. Your example is meaningless. As said, perhaps get your fridge-freezer checked - the most imperative point to retain the quality and goodness is the defrosting (thawing), which should be done in the fridge and not at room temperature and NEVER in the microwave! This I suspect is where your issue lies.

Clearly, if you freeze or defrost incorrectly.
