Nordvpn you say?

They should be banned on here with their latest antics.

A good price regardless though

One server was affected in March 2018 in Finland. The rest of our service was not affected. No other servers of any type were put at risk. This was an attack on our server, not our entire service.

I don’t know about anyone else, but as a Nord customer for over 5 years, I’ve never required connection to the Finnish server...

There are no signs that the intruder attempted to monitor user traffic in any way. Even if they had, they would not have had access to those users’ credentials.

The incident effectively showed that the affected server did not contain any user activity logs. To prevent any similar incidents, among other means, we encrypt the hard disk of each new server we build.

The intruder did not find any user activity logs because they do not exist. They did not discover users’ identities, usernames, or passwords because none of our applications send user-created credent

I see you've been buttered up by their lovely explanation and seemly transparent and honest publication of what happened.

What you're missing is that they didn't come out and admit this by themselves because they're open an honest. They only admitted it AFTER someone literally published their private key on Twitter.

But yeah they don't mention that in their nice infographics. I genuinely don't believe they would have revealed it if the key wasn't published.

Who really cares “when” the company notified the public? Doesn’t make a single difference subjectively. No personal information was leaked, no browsing data was leaked. This is a perfect example of difficult 21st century consumers complaining at every opportunity.

unless u r confident this will run on your pc i.e. high spec and not a AMD user, I really wouldn't bother wasting your money even at this price. I paid a little more than this when the game first came out and I've only just managed to play through the single player and a few hours of the multiplayer. The constant crashes without error notifications, connection time outs and fps drops make this game literally unplayable for me. I know this obviously isn't the case for a lot of players but a quick glance at the sub reddit will show you how many people are still struggling to run it properly. I've given up and uninstalled the game, I'm sick of trying to fix it myself and changing drivers etc. £17 ish might be worth a punt to play the single player but be prepared for a massive download as well as a long wait for the shaders to install multiple times!!
Yes you can just buy the battle pass in RUB!!

I have a problem with my mouse movement, its a known bug, the fix is to bring up task manager when the game is running, right click modern warfare, click details, then priority, then change from High to normal, this has to be done every time, but it works, I play loads of BF 5, but I'm playing this more now as its not one shot one kill like it used to be.

The videos your mother sends me But if you really need to know having a 3rd party that can manipulate what you view is a very serious problem and a VPN provider which claims to have total control over there service but unaware of a major breach like this is worrying.
Who were the other two VPNs that NordVPN day were attacked at the same time?

What is with people not caring about privacy these days? Has Facebook and other companies really warped your perspective that much?

Everyone has the right to privacy, it’s not ok for any company or person to take that away.

It’s like people who say they don’t care if ISPs / governments spy on them as they’re not doing anything illegal. That’s not the point, no one should willingly give up privacy.

You wouldn’t be happy letting these same people / companies walk into your house and start looking through your personal belongings, would you? Even though you’re not doing anything illegal it’s a huge invasion of privacy.

Online is no different considering how much of our lives are online these days.

You’re missing the point entirely. Would you let someone come browse through your home? I doubt you have anything illegal going on but you still wouldn’t want anyone going through your stuff would you? It’s your personal space.

Yet people are willing to hand over online privacy for seemingly no reason?

Privacy is something we’re all entitled to in our private lives, whether that’s in person or online.

Okay small Hamish. Wanting privacy does not equate to shadiness. Wanting additional security when on Open WI-Fi is not shady its a pretty advisable thing to do. Bypassing pathetic country restrictions on content is not shady. And finally steering clear of cookies which can manipulate the content the pricing you see is actually very useful. I get it pleading ignorance, but don't try and back handily accuse people of being Pedos and "shady" when you are just plain ignorant.

Its not the same though... they cant pick up or touch my stuff by checking my browsing history... they cant trail mud through my house by checking my browsing history... its literally websites youre going on like theyre physically going through my stuff. Its not the same.

Good free pc VPN without entering any card info is UrbanVPN urban-vpn.com/
Bought it thank you. Bit of a faff.

1. I used urbanVpn on the suggestion of one of the comments (thank you jonline), you can install the Chrome extension, it doesn't have to be installed OS wide

2. Verifying the email address for the battle.net account didn't work on my computer, but worked when I used my phone instead

3. Paying with PayPal wouldn't let me choose currency, I wanted to pay with RUB. In the end I paid directly with my card for the best exchange rate (Monzo)

4. I can't remove my payment methods, gives an error saying try again later. I assume this is because the payment is still pending, after it's cleared I'm going to try removing both my PayPal and Monzo

5. After downloading the bnet client I uninstalled the vpn, the game is currently downloading
