Good buy !

Give it 5 minutes and the know it all jobsworths will be commenting "already posted" & "posted here"
I never saw it posted anywhere - sorry not sorry!
These are good price but robusta beans are the lesser quality coffee. I've never been able to get a decent cup of coffee from any beans i bought from Lidl. Aldi whole beans by comparison are really excellent.

You won't see it........it's not in a title to gain attention or highlight a good deal or with a photo but buried on line 59 of a long list of small print

You have this coffee in 2 types: there's 100% arabica or arabica and robusta. Personally I prefer the mix. Good quality italian 100% robusta can be sometimes even better than arabica.
What's the roast date on these? :/

Or use by date?

If it's been roasted while back then might not be that great.

Wonder if it's a dark roast and heavy in coffee oil.

Yes - I do buy other beans from Aldi for example (if they're from "fresh / new" delivery but also I do buy freshly roasted beans from UK based roasters

Italian roast style always has 10-20% robusta. That's how the traditional "recipe" is and gives it the Italian roast flavor. For this style of blend it shouldn't be used to judge quality. Otherwise for all other blends i would agree that aribica when roasted medium is superier.

BEAN SNOBS ASSEMBLE! Heat
Oh these are rubbish, tried them and after few cups all been trashed. Similar price Eduscho Expresso are delicious compared to any other at same price range.

Ive tried the apprentely uk roasted coffee from the company who gave you a code with the delonghi offer, tested well over 6 different styles and honestly I just prefer any lavazza over the apparentely “fancy” stuff which some of it was just weak..

I resist commenting on coffee deals as much as possible because it never goes well, but I have to in response to this.

There's no such thing as Italian robusta. Coffee doesn't grow in Italy. Italians know lots about making espresso but little about quality coffee. That's why they typically burn bad quality beans (arabica and robusta) to a dark roast for their espresso. Supermarkets follow this stupid trend.

The highest quality robusta is better than a low quality arabica. But this isn't high quality robusta. High quality robustas really only come from India and are extremely expensive.

This is just bad coffee.

Yup I'm on my last 2 boxes of the 8 I got from them. Different flavours and not great but for free can't complain. Anyway I think aldi beans are great.
Be careful buying a kg of beans if you don't like them and especially if you're perhaps the only one who drinks them in the household as that's a lot coffee to go through in 3-4 weeks

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. & probably reveals why I didn't like Italian blends in the past.

why everyone thinks that knows everything and in reality spread lies

One of the most expensive and most tasty coffee is a weasel coffee that it is originally from Vietnam where weasels eat the sweetest robusta coffee beans. (not arabica)
Also if you try good robusta in Vietnam (but not expensive) made in Vietnamese way that you will be laughing about your words Arabica is made by developed countries, it is why their prices are higher as production cost is higher and marketing is stronger. But we are here to find good deals and this is a very good deal.
Nescafé instant coffee is the best you can get.

Nope it's Tesco value instant coffee
Still prefer getting lavazza at £10 from amazon when on offer. Best cheap bean imo

'Lies'? You're calling me a liar.

Firstly, I said 'really only come from India'. There's room there for the small amounts of robusta that come from other places that are barely palatable. The statement is still true. You can drink Indian high quality robusta without it having to travel through the digestion system of a small mammal first. It still costs a lot.

Secondly, worth repeating, the Vietnamese robusta travels through the digestive system of a small mammal! Before it's palatable. And it's one of the most expensive coffees in the world. And it's not exclusively robusta. It's whatever the civets (nothing to do with weasels, despite the bad Vietnamese translation) find and eat. Vietnam aren't the only country to produce expensive civet coffee. It's widely regarded as a bad tasting gimmik for those who want to spend stupid amounts of money to drink poop coffee.

This isn't a deal. It's what you'd expect to pay for bad coffee. It's probably overpriced.

I have never seen this package before. Thanks for the deal!

Exactly - "apparently roasted in UK" and "code with offer" says it all 🙈

If you ever have opportunity then go and visit the roasters, see yourself what they're doing and how, taste their coffee then and there.
Rave Coffee, Smokey Barn, Caravan Coffee just to mention a few.

Used the: Union Hand-Roasted Coffee, 7a South Crescent, London, UK, E16 4TL
Bought 3 kilo last night allready. Theyre great quality too.
They are not in my Lidl
Just seen this yesterday in my local Lidl, it's not on the normal coffee aisle, it was tucked away at the rear of the store with other random items.
Still £6.99 but I didn't get any as still got about a months worth of Union I got free with my coffee machine.
