What size bottles please?

Is the Disaronno 50cl or 70cl?

50cl

good deal

Mmmmm Xmas pud

it is national.. enjoyed a bottle of disaronno last night..

Wee bottle of Suzy!

To make an amazing tasty (and hugely alcoholic) pudding, briefly dip Ginger Nut biscuits in Cointreau and sandwich them into a log with whipped cream. This always goes down well at parties, just make sure that your guests aren't planning to drive home.

Just ginger nuts, booze and cream? Oh dear Lord......There needs to be chocolate too, I'm sure we could work it in.

just buy Aldi amaretto £4.99 for 50cl & pour into empty disaronno bottle, they'll never know the difference!

Thank you.

Without they have no taste buds they will know the difference almost instantly. Its like watering down a spirit or wine, if you've ever tasted the full strength version you'll know the difference.
Now the Lidl or Tesco/Sainsburys amaretto would fool most as its closer to the %.

Put apple juice, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon and star anise in a pan. Bring to a slow bubble then reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Put shot or two of Cointreau in a cup and pour in hot apple juice (spices removed). Enjoy!

I used to make this with brandy mixed with strong coffee ( gets a bit messy) You quickly dip the biscuit in the brandy/coffee mixture , sandwich together with whipped cream then cover it all to make a roll with more whipped cream. - it's best made the night before and chilled well . It is one of my favourite desserts and I had forgotten all about it. I may try it with Cointreau one day.

£11 is the cheapest I've seen for Cointreau so hot from me and thanks doublecuffs for the reminder.

Pour Disaronno over chocolate cake ...it's not immense it's plain nasty ....you wouldn't like it ...tastes like poison ...now pass it over here and let me get rid of that for you

Forget jagerbombs, skittle bombs are the way foward

Ahhhhhh Cointeau ;-)

No, that's just a waste of Cointreau......

Fill a glass with ice, add the Cointreau and then add some cranberry juice.

Amaretto was £11 all last week in Morrisons but sadly oos the few times I've been in to try and buy one.

I buy triple sec rather than Cointreau, its the same thing. It is hard to get it on offer though.

Banned

2 of my favourite cocktails use this - Margarita and Sidecar

as janelionmane said triple sec is cheaper , or even grand marnier

It's a 50cl, sorry I took so long to reply

And I've never seen a 70cl Cointreau in the shops before

Triple sec is on rollback in Asda too, £8 for 50cl. I haven't checked other places.

Disaronno is the tits!

Is this still on, I was just about to get this from Tesco...

70cl from Morrison for £16.00

50cl Tesco = £12
70cl Tesco = £16

Sainsburys = £12 / £20

Cointreau is still £11 in morrisons. I couldn't see any disaronno or a label so they may have sold out in our local store: Barry

Thanks, I'll brave the weather (wind seems to have died down) after my Tesco order's delivered, the lemonade will not drink itself.
