2 for £1? Pls elaborate...

i refuse to buy 1.75l when the price is the same as 2l was a few weeks ago.
I wonder if they have changed the sizes globally or if its just britain getting ripped off.

It's just the UK that falls for this.

Companies like to maintain the headline offer price, in this case usually 99p. Eventually, profit starts to drop so instead of increasing the price to £1.25 they reduce the bottle size jus so that people don't see a price increase.

Same has been occurring with tins of sweets at Xmas time. Check out how the weight has plummeted over the years but the price consistent.

no reply button on my phone, but I agree with most of the comments about the s***y 1.75l thing.. its stupid.

thanks god they made a 1.75 litre bottle because 1, 1.5 and 2 litre bottles were pointless, how did we survive.

coke is carbonated to the hilt to disguise the viscosity of all the sugar dissolved in it, in addition that why it tastes preferable and drinkable when cold. I believe the brand is finally weakening as people realize its WAK! i some times have a diet but thats bad really with all the acid and bull-crap in it be its rare and a change from water/tea

I love the way Coke are using some daft slogan about finding happiness in the new, smaller bottles. It stands to reason that there would be more happiness to be found if the bottles were bigger. I'll be buying Pepsi 2l bottles from now on. Two litres of happiness!

Mars bars are now laughably small. The whole point of buying a Mars (for me, anyway) was that they were a decent size if you were hungry. They aren't much bigger than funsize now. I haven't bought a single bar since they dropped the size. Another marketing triumph!

So true, their slogan of 'A mars a day helps you work, rest & play' doesn't quite fit the product anymore... It's the same with a lot of products from back in the day when I was growing up

Used to work for coca cola until made redundant! It's all about the profits - hence smaller 1.75 litre size bottles and less staff! They need to "recruit" more cola drinkers to keep their market share!!!

For any organisation it's unfortunately all about the money at the expense of customer satisfaction... :O

Flat coke to me simply tastes like drinking really sweet syrup! Yuk, my tastebuds can't handle it lol...

Me too. 2 litres for a £1 was my benchmark. Not going to be forced in to believing less is any sort of 'deal'.

I bought a Mars in the petrol station the other day and thought I'd picked up a faulty bar - half the wrapper was empty! Checked the others and they were just the same!

Lol that's so funny... I know exactky what you mean! Mars are certainly making their money by short changing the customer... It's ridiculous as they increase the prices but only give you half the goods... But I love chocolate
