In the glass bottles, this was the only option.

I completely agree, I'd much rather drink Coke Cola from a glass bottle!

This was the Bolsover store.

As far as I remember there was a scientific reason for that. Glass having an affect on the taste or the gas content
According to their web site my nearest store is 132 miles away. Oh well
We used to work with Coke and I was once told that they over-carbonated the glass bottles because the crown tops leak over time, so they would lose their fizz before the shelf life expired. As a result, when drunk early in their life, they are extra fizzy.

I agree that Coke always tastes better from glass :-)
Cold, tastes better from plastic bottles
Is this a new green marketing wheez.... plastic = zero glass?
anyone know where i can get pepsi max in glass bottles? got them from Amazon a few times but very expensive!!

173 miles for me if that makes you feel any better!
177...
Coke in glass bottles is usually ridculously expensive, so kudos for finding them at such a low price (less than the price of a single 330ml can, even from, say, Home Bargains). A shame it's only Zero though (I only drink "normal" Coke), because I might've finally been able to use my Coca Cola bottle opener I bought ages ago...
Didn't know they did Zero in glass bottles.
Why does Coke taste better in glass bottles?
one or both of the following-
a) glass is the most inert substance used for packaging and therefore gives the most unaltered drinking experience.
b) enormous psychological effect.

the first sip right after opening a can, for some reason, is the best thing ever.
I remember as a kid first time drinking coke from a glass bottle and it blew my mind how much better it tasted.
what's the date on the cokes ?
got them in Sutton in ashfield and pepsi glass bottle diet in pound stretcher
Apparently the Mexican Coke is the best!...... no honestly.

The only problem is that if you start searching the internet for 'mexican coke' you may get a knock at the door!
