anyone noticed how the sugar tax seems to have affected the price across the range of coke?

Tastes nothing like the sugary coke (coming from someone who doesn't drink the stuff), so why lie

Agreed, it's virtually the same price in many of the local shops around me, it doesn't seem to but putting people off buying full sugar stuff either.
Not on caffeine free? Damn.

supermarkets used to have a deal 2 for £2.50 then as soon as sugar tax came in 2 for £3 and this includes diet and zero versions

What's actually happening is firms are reacting more than consumers. Lucozade ditched their sugar in their drinks and replaced it with half sugar and half sweeteners. Same with Ribena (same company) and Irn Bru... The sugar tax will become effective because the firms will reduce the sugar and therefore gives no choice to consumers on whether or not to reduce sugar intake. Either...
1. Drink the new low sugar varient or...
2. Don't drink it at all
Both of which will exactly result in a fall in sugar consumption

t's funny, i would have said Coke Zero tasted nothing like the real thing. Then i forced myself to drink it and last week someone accidentally gave me a full fat coke as they got confused because they both come in the traditional red colour now, and i didn't notice at all.Maybe i have nuked my tastebuds with Aspartame!
33878507-e5Hkw.jpgReal coke is getting difficult to find, presumably the supermarkets have decided people won't buy it at the higher price so have significantly reduced their stock. Coke [the company] have also changed the packaging design on Coke Zero to be all red apart from a small black stripe that says zero in order to trick people who are not looking closely into buying it.

I can't taste the difference! Personally the fizz overpowers my taste buds anyway but even on flat coke Pepsi both non sugar and sugar taste the same

Cola prices have been trending upwards for at least 5 years now. You used to be able to find the 2l bottles of coke for £1 (on offer) very regularly. Nowadays you barely ever even see the 2 litre bottles and the 1.75l ones are barely ever £1.

Tim Martin (Spoons boss) said Jamie Oliver should concentrate more on running
his restaurants (which have gone kaput ) than worrying about sugar

I haven't noticed this at all.
People saying that regular price coke is hard to find on deals...? Everytime my local tescos sells 24 cans for less than £7, coke zero shelf is always sold out, regular/diet always filled up.
