We have similar ones to these, still C&M, but all stainless steel and they chew through batteries(6 each) and don't crush pepper as well as a manual grinder. They are much slower as well. 10 manual twists on a manual would be about 30 seconds worth of grinding. Ours are about 4 years old now and have a bit of rust on the at the bottom where the salt/pepper containers go. Got them for £15 in BHS and wouldn't buy them again.

That's a shame, sounds like the technology is lagging behind on these then. It also looks like they could do with having more space for the salt and pepper, and less space used for the batteries.

Ours are exactly the same, granted a similar product from lidl so much cheaper. I think the manual version has got to be the way to go
Sorry. I have these and they are awful. Save your money and go buy manual grinders. These things are extremely slow and grinding pepper. Dont waste your money ppl.

Plus it takes 3 AAA Batteries each. Crazy
