Great price for one of these, just bough one for when I go fishing. Much cheaper running costs compared to gas lanterns,

Cheapest its been on Amazon, and are £60+ in most other places.

the point im making, it why would common sense fly out of the window when using a petrol lantern compared to a BBQ.

on the web site it says
for camping

Maybe not as daft as it sounds... worlds in turmoil.... what you going to when the lights go out?

if it gets that bad probably no petrol so get an axe to chop down trees

Thanks for posting this, OP. My old Coleman is a bit tatty nowadays and at this price, I can easily justify a replacement.

Of course, I won't be lighting it in a tent, playing football with it, or even drinking the fuel, so no need to worry about that

I've run one of these in the house. They give off what feels like a kilowatt of heat as well as the light of a very bright bulb. Had one in a trailer tent in Scotland. The tent was full of midges but on lighting the lamp they were all drawn to it and sucked into it were they were turned into soot. Saved us from a very uncomfortable night.

but the nuclear winter will sort that.....

I bought one of these when they were more expensive than this normal price for power cuts.

Better than using bare candles to light the living room when there are power cuts...

The heat is a bonus that will be greatly accepted.

Petrol can be a bit smelly with the additives they add, but Coleman sell fuel too.

Next year several coal powered power stations are going to be shut down because they don't meet EU standards. I can see there being rolling power cuts and a massive hike in bills. It's probably then that the government will then tell us that we have to Frack to keep the lights on and all the sheep will agree because they won't want to miss Eastenders. I hope I'm wrong!
