Whilst posting a freebie, I found this cheap offer for this classic game.

Review:
GameSpot Score 8.3 great

Gamepsy: Great
Pros : Stunning graphics and lifelike car models; realistic driving physics and tightly mapped audio design; well-implemented multiplayer model.

Cons : Too few courses and abbreviated stages; damage model that has limited performance impact on your car; occasional multiplayer update problems; no "quick restart" option from within a race.

System Specifications
Athlon 64 3500+, 1 GB PC3200 Dual Channel DDR-RAM, Windows XP Pro, DirectX 9.0c, ATI Radeon X800 XT with 256 MB, DVD-ROM, SoundBlaster Audigy 2, 12x CD-ROM drive, mouse, keyboard.

I saw ths and thought it was well priced for those without the latest spec PCs, thats all.
(A majority of friend upgrade their PCs every 4-5 yrs, but then they arent big gamers)

Not everyone has a latest spec PC (although most people on here would have upgraded from one of the far too tempting UKHD offers) .

I would have thought the 2005 in the game title would have removed that surprise for you?

Hi,if only with time,things got actually better?From what i read,do Bell's & whistles actually make a good game?
If its a good Game, suppose its a good game?

Cheers BOB

I wasn't surprised by the age, I was surprised you thought for a minute this was a good deal/

As I said, it should be (and probably is) in a clearance bin somewhere for 50p .. There are plenty of 4 yearold games going cheap. Doesnt make it a deal.

FWIW I enjoyed playing it, even now. Each to their own.

I do think its a good deal (why else would I post it), and the last five people who bought a NEW PC edition from fleeeebay would have probably thought so too, seeing as they paid £4.92, £4.79, £5.39, £4.50 and £4.50 (between 23rd & 31st March 2009)

But I take your point that its not everyones bag.

If you are after a good rally game and don't have an uber PC this is not a bad deal. Voted hot
