With tight closing lid and overflow valve. Internal graded aluminium pot with non-stick coating. Container for steaming e.g. vegetables. Keep-warm function. Capacity: 1.8 litres. 700 W/230 V.

also good for steaming things.

I normally use my for cooking my own rice when ordering a chinese or indian, by only getting the dishes you save so much money as a portion of boil rice can cost upto £1.50 a go. so you will soon get your money back if you get one of these.

This has a hinged sealed lid so it keeps your rice warm without burning for a longer period compared to the pot lid ones.
(Please note that you can buy this in instore only as the online site is not currently geared up for online orders)

as per all clas ohlson goods it comes with a 2 year warranty and a 30 days money back refund policy. you sould visit the shop or website its like a swedish gadget shop, quite unique (they have one in manchester arndale)

LOL - that must be the worst retailer website I have ever seen.

Add the item to your basket and then....................

No obvious place to view basket or checkout. I bet the warehouse staff are busy

I disagree its the blue box in the top right corner, where it says 'shopping list'

you press the 'update/save' button and it brings up your basket.

its quite simple and I'm not particularly smart...lol

i do agree its not particularly well laid out could be better. :-)

You don't need to buy a rice cooker to cook perfect rice every time. Obviously I must be the one in the know here.... :whistling:

Many moons ago, I used to make boiled rice on a domestic and commercial basis.

I would agree that you do not need this device to cook perfect rice first time, every time.
You don't even need it to maintain the temperature of cooked rice, or to steam vegetables

But with this cooker, it is so much easier to cook boiled rice and to keep it warm.
Once you have used one, I doubt you would use any other method again.
The ability to steam vegetables (and in some models you can even make sponge cakes) is a bonus.

How do you make coffee? Does it make you 'stupid' if you prefer to make it one way and others make it another. No it's called a preference (and in many cases a convenience). How dare you call people stupid just because you personally don't want an item.

You finished on your soap box? I think you've completely missed my point.

If you need a rice cooker to because you can't cook decent rice then frankly you should stay well clear of a kitchen period. If you prefer this item as it's "your preference", because of the convenience or because you're just god dam lazy; then it's completely up your street.

My point being you'll use it day in day out for about the month, then it will gather dust on the shelf because you can't be bothered to clean it out every time. It will then be a gadget pal to the popcorn maker, doughnut maker, sandwich toaster, pie maker, candyfloss maker, ice-cream maker, pasta roller, cook's blow torch, chocolate fondue fountain, bread maker, juicer, George Foreman, and slow cooker.....

I take it you have purchased all the above lol
