Very handy to have as can set up on way out and will be ready and warm when you get back. I missed having one of these and less incidents with forgetting my boiling rice in the pot.

Cook and serve perfect rice. Simply lift the container from the cooker and serve. Cooks up to 1.5 L of perfect rice. Stainless steel container with glass lid. Capacity: 1.5 litres. 220-240 V/ 500 W.

Watch out for pop ups with 10% off all online orders, code usually valid for 24hrs.Sorry for the late post as mine now expired "CLAS22548"

I have one of these and used to use it until I found you can cook rice much better in a food steamer. It comes out much fluffier and less stodgy and my family say it's much better.

I have a slow food cooker but never tried either of these with ricebut I reckon should work based on the same principles.

I find the rice cooker works fine for me with the right amount of water. I used a lot as a student so now a pro with it thanks to my housemate back then who introduced me to this useful gadget.
Great thing to have in the kitchen. I have one and use it all the time. It is so easy just put rice and water in equal quantities (1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water) and turn it on. Will switch to warm when finished cooking.

you must be cooking it wrong as we have used one for years with no problems. sounds like you are using too much water for it to be stodgy
when people say, 1 cup of rice to one cup of water

what size cup exactly?

what if you use a mug?
or a small tea cup?
Can't see the point of one of these. I do my rice in a plastic measuring jug in the microwave. Make sure its thoroughly washed and it comes out light and fluffy.

It doesn't matter. Its all relative as long as you use the same vessel for both the rice & water

It doesn't matter what vessel you use as long as you use the same one to measure the water and the rice. It's about ratios, not volumes.

Depends how many people and much they like rice. A tea cup is more than enough for two people

Every Chinese family on this planet has one of these in their home, it's the most important electrical kitchen appliance known to mankind.

Yes, and could that be because they eat a lot of rice.....I like rice, but not to the extent where the item that cooks it becomes the most important appliance in my kitchen.......let alone to mankind as a whole

Worth checking the instructions the ratio of water to rice is generally a little off. Like 1.25 to 1. Of course depends on the rice.
Its worth washing your rice first as well makes it fluffier and less starchy.
It's essential to wash rice before cooking. That's coming from a Chinese girlfriend. Rinse rice before and pasta after.
