Nectar released a brand new iPad app a few weeks ago and its got a handy search & collect feature which which allows you to earn up to 100 Nectar points per month from when you perform web searches.

Many of you will already be familiar with the Nectar Toolbar which can be installed on PC browsers, which you can earn 100 points per month from when you perform web searches.

If you have Nectar Toolbar installed on your PC already and earn the points for web searches, you can still collect 100 additional Nectar points using Nectar Search on the new Nectar app per month. So up to 200 points per month from web searches in total.

The new iPad app was released during December 2013. There wasn't a dedicated iPad app before then. There was an iPhone app and an Android one. If you read the email in post one you will see it says that its a new app. I didn't say that Nectar Search wasn't available before the new iPad app was released in December.

Thks

Grrrr just checked and this app isn't compatible with my nexus 7!!

It will work for your Nexus 7 if you can find an APK for the Nectar app.

What is an APK File?

An APK file is a file format used to distribute and install software (usually games or applications) on the Android operating system. Downloading the APK allows you to install programs without needing access to sites like Google Play (or AndroidPIT). To install these files, it's not even necessary to be connected to the Internet.

Why Would I Want to Install an APK File?

Installing APK files allows you to install apps that have leaked ahead of their official release (like Flipboard, for example). Alternately, you can download apps that have been banned (like Market Changer, which tricks Google Play into thinking you're from another country). Often APK files from new Android builds are leaked, giving you early access to features like Google Now that you wouldn't have been able to get without downloading them on your own. You could say that APK files allow one to bypass carriers to get the latest Google updates. Alternately, if your Android device lacks access to Google Play, APK files may be the only way to get apps on your device.

Installing APK Files

Before installing anything on your phone, you'll need to properly enable your phone by going to Menu > Settings > Security > check "Unknown Sources" to allow your phone to install apps from sources other than the Google Play Store. On most of the devices, you can now simply click on the file using any of the file managers to install them, using the built-in package manager. If your device does not have a package installer by default, you can download and install an APK installer application from Google Play.

I pulled this APK file directly from the Google Play Store myself so there shouldn't be any problems with regards to security. It is definitely the latest version of the Nectar app too.

I can assure you that information about the 100 points per month available through the Nectar app's Search & Collect feature has not been posted on HUKD's as a deal or freebie before.

I just use it to earn points, I don't search for real things I'm interested in. I just input a few letters and then let the autocomplete feature do the rest. Clicking on each one of the results, then repeating the process. You can earn points just as fast doing this as you can through Nectar Adpoints or Nectar Canvass. It is just this is limited to 100 points per month.

So how many searches do I do to earn 100 points ?

Two searches earns you one Nectar point so you need to perform 200 searches for the 100 points.

thanks
