Doesn't sound easy to …Doesn't sound easy to mehttps://www.xboxachievements.com/game/color-symphony-2/guide/

Not saying it is easy but 12 of the achievements are 50G and 4 are 100G. You even get 50G just for starting a new game from the main menu
10-20 hours for the full 1k though
I bought energy cycle the other day for £1.20, took half an hour to get 1k
What happened to playing games because you enjoy them?

I agree but you do get the type of gamer that are more interested in their gamerscore/trophy count. I can imagine these types must dislike Nintendo for this very reason.

You said "great for achievement hunters" which I took to mean a quick/easy 1000g. I play the odd cheap puzzle game if it has easy points but I enjoy the game too, I wouldn't play it if it wasn't enjoyable. I've also owned every Nintendo console except a virtualboy so not sure I fit your "type" moniker.

Also, you brought up achievements in the deal post and since mentioned an easy achievement?

God knows. I feel cheated for all the hours I’ve put in on pubg and received nothing in return. It didn’t used to be like this. Godforsaken points systems making you play games for much longer than you would otherwise. No wonder I have a stupidly large back catalogue of unplayed games.;(

What happened to letting people playing what they want for whatever reason they want to?

I think we have just misunderstood each other Personally I consider an achievement hunter as someone that goes after high score gaming achievements no matter the difficulty. Even if a Dark Souls level of difficulty type game had the odd 100G achievement available it would spur them on to get this no matter how many hours it took. In the same way a trophy hunter on PlayStation would be determined to get those gold trophies available in say a Bloodborne no matter how much grinding they had to do.

I understand now how you took me to mean but I wasn't describing the game as short or implying how difficult it is. I guess if I was to mean that I would use the words easy achievements. We are both correct as gamers view achievements in many different ways. I am getting confused just thinking about it!

Also my reply to Marzman was in no way in reference to you. I can imagine there are many gamers out there that need achievements/trophies for that feeling they are being rewarded. I have often wondered would these types be more willing to play on Nintendo if there was some form of achievements. I am sure most people get a sense of accomplishment without rewards just knowing in their own mind that they have completed a game or got as much enjoyment out of it as they possibly can.

You never mentioned what type of gamer you are so I would never make an assumption about you and your gaming choices considering I know nothing about you. Apologies if you took my reply to Marzman to mean I was talking about you.

No worries, I welcome articulate discussion and took no offence, we do indeed have slightly different outlooks on achievement hunting as I tend to assume when a game is recommended for it's achievements, it's for their ease or speed primarily. My first platinum was resogun which was a reasonable challenge and first decent xbox 1k was probably assassin's creed 2 but I have played some pretty easy games too. I'd never grind through a rubbish game just for points though, I've played some games seen as average but I still derived enjoyment out of them. As for Nintendo, I do think they'd benefit from a similar scheme and I do consciously buy games on ps4 and xbox over the switch version for this reason. On switch I own a couple of indies, fifa (because it was cheap and could be a good handheld 2-player option) and then 2 first party titles, Kart and Odyssey. I'd buy more if there was an achievement system, something they had suggested might be introduced.

What? Gamerscores only came in with the 360 IIRC. Before then you didn't play games just to be awarded a number.

I think sometimes is a competitive reason I.e must have more points than ‘x,’ I was told a friend of mine was constantly checking what points I had and playing extra hours to try keep ahead of me. I naturally didn’t stoop to that level (there are only so many hours in a day) so just played the back catalogue of telltale games which rewards you for just enjoying the story. That I like. He however did not lol. I must profess to buying the odd cheap gwg deal just to milk some l points when needed, and sometimes just to get a sense of achievement as some of these 50+ hour games put me off. (Points per hour spent ratio n all that). I say this and yet I’ve been playing Sea if Thieves for hours already and not one achievement has popped (think it’s a bug) and actually don’t care. Vomiting on someone at the tavern seems far more enjoyable (yes, I guess I am a big kid). Each to their own n all that!

There does appear to be a problem with the Sea of Thieves achievements. People are supposedly only getting them show up many hours afterwards! Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Sea of Thieves achievements? Mine are showing up now but some of them I had to repeat the achievement for them to be awarded. There has been a few updates that should have ironed out any issues so strange that you are still not getting any
