I was in my local Homebase half an hour ago having a browse and came across these Milano coloured towel rails, reduced from the original price of around £50 to £4.98.

Not sure how many folks want a coloured towel warmer, but then that's probably why they're reduced in the first place!

I can't get the direct link to work, so just search for "Milano Towel Warmer" on the Homebase site.

One tin of white appliance paint and you have a one hell of a cheap 'white' towel radiator.

Would very much doubt it. Paint on chrome would be a very silly waste of a manufacturing process. Why chrome an item then paint over it?

aint these just a rubbish version of a radiator??

Fair enough, it was just a thought - albeit a carp one !

They are what you should have in a cloakroom/bathroom, not rubbish at all. The colours however are shocking.

would you need to get a plumber to fit this as i think I would like one of these and as a previous post said you could use appliance paint on it. so I'm tempted and Iv'e checked out my local homebase and they have 3 in store right now so if I could get an answer tonight then i would go 1st thing tomorrow and get one

Yes you would need a plumber to connect one of these. We've got one in our bathroom, basically does what it says. Our one is connected to the pipes through the bottom of the floor. Good for heating small towels, not as successful for larger ones hth.

i have these in my house, white ones, to replace redatior in my bathroom and kitchen. bathrrom where r towels r kept, nice n warm towel after shower, and the kitchen is good, for drying small things when its raning outside!! defanite bargin

No, chrome is very expensive.....

Hot find though for a cheap radiator for use in airing cupboard, or closet.

chrome or silver spray paint would do the trick and take about 10 mins!

seconded!!

im not a plumber but i think you would need to buy valves, and heating element seperate to this. Add on plumbers costs well i dont know how much you are looking at in total towards £100 unless someone can tell me otherwise.
Id only get one if i was having a new bathroom fit, i quite like the chrome spiral ones very smart.

You need two lockshield valves which are about £3 each and whatever your plumber charges and that's it (no heating element).

A competent diyer would be ok imo. I would spray them with high temperature paint before fitting for a better finish than using a brush:thumbsup:

Cant seem to find this on the site, might pop instore!
