I had some of these when they were last on offer, good quality imo
Good reviews generally on these products. Argos are bringing in a new product (£50-£60). I have gone for the jet black thermal blackout curtains, not many left at some stores for click and collect. They are still taking home delivery orders for the remaining stock.

Heat! These are perfect for my living room. Unfortunately it's neither available for delivery or in stock in any surrounding stores, which is a real shame.
After recently changing to eyelet curtains I have no idea why anyone would want this style.... heat for price tho!

Anyone with a very long curtain pole - I have one which is nearly 6 meters and eyelets don't work as there are 3 additional supports.

? How does this help? You still have the rings, how do they get past the supports? I appreciate there will be no gap, but it would only be minimal

I was replying to the poster who said she/he wondered why anyone want this style and not eyelets....I have a very long pole and cannot use eyelets as there are additional supports for the pole.....
I had blackout curtains on my south facing windows but shafts of light above and below still woke me early. Then I added black out blinds to the black out curtains. A lot better but not perfect. The I covered my windows with tin foil. Now I have zero light coming in. In fact the lack of any light or sound is confusing to the senses and with a fan you genuinely get the feeling you're sleeping in a pict black, silent cool cave. As a result I've had the best and deepest nights sleep of my life recently. I'd encourage anyone else to do similar if you struggle with the heat or light this summer,

Will try though I'm not very tech savvy. Would probably take less time for you to type eyelet curtains into Argos and filter low -high prices .

I'm willing to bet that these will be far from a blackout curtain, probably quite see through.

*Edit: I picked some up last night - they do what they say on the tin! Colour is a little bland that's all.

I’ve got my blue kitchen ones in my bedroom this month waiting on a deal, the blue ones are like plastic backed and are awesome, hoping these are almost as good better than heat and daylight from sunrise till 11am! Will report back as collection tomorrow.

I'd suggest buying some acoustic foam, cut it to fill the window frame and find a way to secure and unsecure it easily. Simply put it up when you go o bed and remove it in the morning.

If you manage to seal it correctly, combined with decent double glazing, it should cut out most of the noise.

Excellent idea, but may not help in my case, as I leave the windows open for cooling. Also later on condensation may become an issue.

You'll get used to the white noise and then won't hear it at all. I use a tower fan that I lay horizontal. I find it much quieter and effective for a sleeping position. They're about £20 at Home Bargains at the moment.

Those that sleep well can sleep through volcanic eruptions and those that can't don't, it is as simple as that, you sound like one of those that sleeps through anything, just like someone else in my household!

Tried it all, totally useless. Wish it wasn't.
