how is this a 'built in' hood exactly OP ??? Its bolted to the joist supports in the ceiling.

How much is the rest of the cooker and was this really £900?

gort its just the hood! Read it properly.

ok but price as usual rrp and common price199 on google or400 ish

Smeg, they're like the Rolls Royce of cooking appliances.

i thought neff and aeg are rolls royce of cooking appliances

can this be put on the wall? Or is it impossible to do that with a island one?

Look at the dimensions - you will head butt it all the time. This is 70cm deep. Most hoods are around 40cm deep

£900 for a hood is crazy, this is about the right price I'd say.

This was never £900

Gollywood

This was never £900

It probably was - the sort of people who go for "cooking islands" would be quite likely to be gullible enough to spend that much on it.

It's bolted in, rather than on wheels...

Does this come with a woman to make use of it?

No chance. Cheapo Italian rubbish, mostly. The £600 slimline stainless dishwasher we had looked nice...until it nearly set our house on fire after only 3 years.

Smeg as a name doesnt add any value, but i suppose 200 isnt bad for an island extractor. Probably not the cheapest you could find if you tried though.

Compare this boring thing to the Elica Star extractor, which admittedly is about 500 more than the supposed list price of the smeg. If you have money to waste, thats as good a way as any to do it.

good deal for smeg.

Link shows it as £649?
