This isn't the Steam version for those that are concerned.

I'm having a lot of fun thrashing my dad at this for 20 mins each evening. Got him an early father's day gift. It's a big laggy in the pre game menus but in game is running well.

This brings back memories...

Glad you mentioned that. Thanks
Wish there was a MacOS compatible version of this. And no, RA3 doesn't count.

Excuse my ignorance but is there a difference in content between this and the steam version?

Based on the reading I have done I would say no.
Anyone know if Red Alert 2 is getting a remaster anytime soon?

My friend pointed out that the Steam version there's likely to be mods and workshop community add-ons available eventually. I guess the Origin version won't have this?

I'm not 100% sure myself, I'm just going on what he said! But it sounds feasible

I'm hoping for that. Sunk so many hours into it with my uni housemates. I guess it'll depend on the success of this remaster

It's been pretty decent.

We used to have a couple of hours of poker remotely in our department, we all bought this and have moved to it instead.
It's a good laugh. Fingers crossed they do a Red Alert 2/Yuris Revenge remaster next.

Nope.

You can play against Origin if you're on Steam and Steam if you;re on Origin.

It's just down to personal preference.

Would love to see this - The original C&C's were great and everything, but RA2 definitely stood out for me as the most enjoyable.
I'm playing the Steam version, its a great game, just remember to hit space bar to toggle the graphics! Playing on GTX 1080 and its smooth not stutter.
THIS is how you do a remaster.
A proper labour of love, with a s much as they could possibly do done.
It even has the previously Console exclusive levels.

If you buy this one, then probably but I wouldn't say soon

I bought this lastnight before I posted this and it is great fair play.
When you press the space bar and see how much difference there is now graphically to the old version it really very impressive.

I'm getting stutter now and then, on an i7 9700 and RTX2080, no idea why and you can't change the graphical settings.

Yes? People like myself would prefer to have it on Steam.

Thats odd. I'm running an i5 8400 with a MSI Seahawk GTX 1080. Its buttery smooth. The game is installed on an M2 SSD and pretty sure I can adjust the graphical settings. Your setup should be able to run this fine. Have you updated GPU drivers? Could be graphics card dependant issue. Seen as you have an i7 9700 you should be able to run the game of that soley if you select in the Nvidia Control panel. I am playing in 4k too no issues. The other issue is the TV/ monitor you are using. Mine is a fairly new LG oled.

I'll have to have a play around tonight, definitely noticeable during explosions. I know I can change the window mode and vsync. There is a chance my drivers are out of date
It's or origin, will the mode work. Moving forward steam workshops is the most important thing isn't it?
Just to confirm... Generals isn't part of this, right?

Correct, just original C&C and Red Alert (plus their expansions I think).

What Poker client do you use out of curiosity?
“Hahaha...Real tough guy! That was left-handed!” GDI Commando, Tiberium Wars

We were using PokerStars.
It's not too bad and was pretty quick and easy to setup.
