the holy grail of retro computer gaming. The smell of a tape as you load it into the deck, the
instinctive tapping in of shift and run/stop and the subsequent brewing of tea as you wait for Uridium
to load. We love this thing here at thegamecollection and still feel that the C64 offers excellent
gaming experiences today.

This one comes in the original box for you to love and cherish forever more. This is the nice and
chunky original brown version that is built like a tank. Drop your your toast on the keyboard: it works.
Let your sister accidentally throw it down the stairs in a fit of rage: it still works.

Experience the thrill off chopping your mates' heads off in Barbarian, blast round a couple of laps
of Pit Stop 2, challenge the evil professor in Impossible Mission and then wash it down with a
mammoth session of The Last Ninja 2. You just don't get that kind of visceral gaming rush from
a blu-ray disc and a wiimote.

Go on, you owe it to yourself. Think you know about games? Get one of these fellas and take it
to the limit. Gaming nirvana.

you can not call yourself a true gamer until you play on this console.

why would you pay that amount to wait an hour for the game to load but oh no its crashed

Move the decimal point a tad to the left and it'd be hot. Sorry!

there is no way that is worth that much IS THERE???
if it is im getting the boxed one out of my loft and flogging it after ive had a go on wizball and turrican

I like the recommended purchase together with at the bottom of the screen. Why on earth would you wish to buy the GameCube version of Geist with the C64.
The C64 was a true classic though, I love having the odd blast on Miner 2049er and Blue Max on the PSP emulator.
This price seems a touch steep though for the C64. Mind you I remember them costing that back in the early 80's. That's why I ended up with a £130 Spectrum first!

What a great offer! Amazing to say the least. Just when I was about to pay 500 quid for one this bargain came up! Heat added.

LOL, hilarious. I have two of these in the loft, you can get them on fleabay for a fiver.

not forgetting bounder and uridium (best C64 game ever)

If it's new, unused and fully boxed and original colour then the price is right. I sold one for more on Ebay.

I am going to buy them all and yes... try and make a profit on eBay.....

Never rated either game tbh. Keep meaning to DL the retro remake version of Paradroid and see what that's like as I used to love Quazatron. Hewson Consultants were the best company back then.

Never had the the 64 but my VIC20 licked balls, it was naff, I've had farts that gave me more enjoyment.

The 2 most important points noted

Btw, are you sure on the processor speed thing? Did you do a comparison of T states per intruction etc for the 6502 / Z80 and take that into account?

I also have two of these in the loft, had no idea they were worth so much! Must get them sold and buy a car or something.

Does this come with the Windows 7 upgrade option?

http://www.heydon.org/kevan/collection/pictures/philips-g7000-small.jpg

pretty sure this phillips g7000 is older than that does that mean its valuable?

Had the 64, threw the lot in a skip, games, et al.

think its time for me to get my collection of A1500, A2000, C128 & C64's out of the loft...

Is the Commodre user group still going ...? lol
