According to the FAQs batteries ARE included, although there is no mention what capacity they are. The batteries in the picture are 2500mAh AAs which would take this charger a huge 15-18hours to charge!

If you need to charge 4 batteries at once you insert two into the front of the charger and the other two into the BACK of the charger.

Yes it does take along time to charge, the same time as the first of your links, but unlike the second one you found, the batteries included with this one has a 1000 recharge as opposed to your one with only 500.

I bought this charger with 4 batteries yesterday and, without sounding stupid, could someone please answer me a few questions because I chucked the packaging out without reading it ?

Do the batteries included need charging before use ?
Do the red lights on the charger show that the batteries are charging and when the lights go off that means they are fully charged ?
And finally, I started charging these last night. They were charging for 5 hours and I intended to leave them charging all night but my mrs knocked them off. I didn't realise this until I got up this morning so I switched them on again. That was 13 hours ago and they appear to be still charging. Will they need the full 15 - 18 hours again due to a break in the charging time ?
Thanks in advance

The batteries needs about 18 hours charge, because they are high capacity batteries. The batteries dont have a memory so shouldn't need continous charging. Unfortunately the lights don't switch off when batteries have finished charging, you need to judge it by time. When charging AAA you just pull the little lever down to lower the connecters.

Hope that helps
