I have one of these, this is a mini food chopper it is very good but it is a mini food chopper with an approx. 100mm diameter beaker.

The Aldi processor will be a tad bigger.

Aldi deals are good, but probably only 1 per store

Great looking for one for my holiday chalet just the job !!

To be fair, it comes in three colours so I think even at Aldi you can safely assume the store will have at least 3!

If you do buy this make sure the small motor is suitable for your needs. When I bought my food processor a few years ago I ended up going for a 1000W motor so I could use it to knead dough, as a mill for spices etc, and it could deal with whatever I threw at it. A smaller motor wouldn't have been suitable for me.

not bad looking at all....wish I had more space in kitchen!

definitely worth posting -its cheap and comes with a 3 yr warranty, which … definitely worth posting -its cheap and comes with a 3 yr warranty, which should cover the motor, that is a big plus point. its a basic model. i would prefer to spend more and get more power and also multi-functions such as blender and spice/coffee grinder, which would save space rather than buying separatelyi would want to know whether spares were available as bowls tend to crack, or get dropped etc, and these are generally not covered by warrantyunquestionably a good deal though,as in same price range as mini choppers.

ffs it's only 14 quid

lol that cracked me up as I was reading through the comments thinking at first, 'Ah, not a bad deal, can't go wrong for that price'. Then everyone was putting me off...till I got to your comment! lol! The voice of reason!

looool

is this a fruit juicer as well?

150w for £8 in Wilko.

Oh come on ......You can use this for up to 3 years (if you keep the receipt) and if it breaks... you get your cash back...no brain'er !!

These are great for herbs, marinades etc but if your planning on doing vegetables etc, be prepared to keep doing them in batches. I have one that's slightly larger than this with a 1.4 litre bowl and I still have to do batches when gratering and chopping

seems a good buy but ask yourself this: have you enough room at the back of the cupboard for this alongside the ice cream maker, george foreman grilling machine, waffle maker, sandwich toaster, popcorn maker,sodastream,juice/smoothie maker, blender,etc....

Interesting - though it holds 350ml, compared to 1 litre for the Aldi one.

Well done for finding that. I know I'll get called a snob but I couldn't care less; from past experience I would never buy another electrical item from Aldi. If you can afford a few more pennies, pay the extra and buy a quality brand. But to be fair the 3yr warranty ain't bad.

I bought this one.

It's much more expensive so not really a competitor to this one. £14 with a 3 year warranty sounds like a deal to me. My comment was just to point out that anyone buying this should be aware that a smaller motor might not do everything they were planning.

I'm glad to see Kevin Bacon getting in on this

Looks great, going to buy for making baby purées :-)

I have the Kenwood Chopper - Its only 350ml / 150g Capacity. The Aldi is 1 Litre capacity with the 'pop-in from the top' feature.

Sounds a good deal..Im adding some diced heat !

Rubbish, even high cost items like computers [circa £500] I queued up two hours before store opening time, when Gorden Brown was the PM. I got the first one of the five the store had. Told as they opened the store to go straight to the checkout, and the PC would be brought out of the Office to me. First five in the queue through the door wanted a PC, so that was lucky. I was recorded by "Parking Eye" vacating the car park 4 minutes after store opening. It was on the parking ticket Parking Eye issue me, I just told Aldi to sort it, as I was not paying it, and they did.

I recently bought two DeHumidifiers at £35 each [got there five minutes after opening time and there was circa 12 to 15 of them in the offers section. £13.99 items and the like, I should reckon on them stocking circa 20 and upwards.

Moral of the story is, if you really want a certain offer, if its a good money saving deal, be early

The Kenwood holds 350ml, has 2 speeds and 1 year warranty. Aldi's holds 1000ml, has 3 speeds and 3 years guarantee. The last item I bought from Amazon was an electric rice cooker that stopped heating after less than 3 weeks and went back. I've never had to return an Aldi item and I've got plenty.

I completely agree. Aldi items are special offers on every Thursday and Saturday, and some additional days at holiday time.If its a 'must have' for you, best be there at opening time to be sure. Though more recently some of the available quantities seem bigger. Sometimes they have so many of an item that some are still not sold after a couple of weeks, in which case prices will usually be cut to make room for the next lot of specials .A few weeks back I was lucky enough to get a good sized stainless inside and out combi microwave for only £39.99 reduced from £69.99 a couple of days after our £300+ Panasonic packed up, and its a cracker, with a 3 year warranty of course.

'Anyone' can look on the side of the box to see what it can do, and it does do it well. As for the 1000w £82 Kenwood one, its still a just a plasticky food processer that you won't be kneading much dough in for long. For that you need something like our Kenwood Chef, still faultless after being used heavily since being bought new 25 years ago for £55..

Got a black one of these from the Sheffield Meadowhall branch this morning. They had about 15 in stock. The enclosed leaflet asks you to register the three-year guarantee with a website in Australia, but I presume you don't have to bother. I've read Aldi are very good with their guarantees, so presumably just retain the receipt and box for three years?
