Good deal. But may be worthwhile holding on to see whether EBuyer drop it back to the £349 that it keeps yoyo-ing down to.

Direct Link --> ]http//ww…936

might be also worth mentioning there are probably shipping charges involved in shipping windows 7

i think *Handling & Post and packaging is £21.99 is for windows 7 and not for the laptop!

looks a pretty decent spec for the money, I wonder how bad the battery life is....

the deal's hot though.

yes 21.99 for windows 7 postage

Nice!!;-)

Total price is £391.98 because of excessive charge for Windows 7 + you will have problems with installing W7 yourself, forums are full of them.

Better buy a laptop with Windows 7 installed. Cold.

You still wittering on about that on EVERY la[ptop thread? :-(

The answer is - Do a NEW install of Windows 7 from the disk, it's new laptop anyway so no data or files of your own on it anyway, and it will install like a dream. Upgrading an existing installation is a waste of time, and it always HAS been with every version of Windows.

I do agree the upgrade charge is a rip off though, with Toishiba/Compaq being the worst of all :-(

Had my eye on this for a while now. But when I first saw it a few weeks back it was £329. Hopefully it will drop to that price again sonn, seems like a great laptop.

Heat added because of another stupid reason to vote cold.

Has anyone got this laptop, any advice.

Looking to buy it

When I have selected "Super Saver" they arrived the next day anyway. But this may not be the case as you get closer to Christmas

with super saver i may have received the odd thing a day or so earlier but NEVER next day or anything approaching it, so you'd probabyl be better off not to rely on getting something super-quick using the cheapskate free delivery

I agree. If you find it tough to install an OS with a GUI, go back under a rock. Good spec for around the 375 mark so heat added.

Great laptop specs Hope for this price to drop as Ebuyer prices go up and down like a yo-yo

Good Find !!!

Anyone know if ]this one is better or worse?

Only £10 extra and already has Windows 7. Seems the same to me anyway:)

Slower processor, less ram for starters, 2 hour battery life's not a lot, and worst of all, it's from a DSG company :-(

Worth considering this other deal from a few weeks ago.

hotukdeals.com/ite…hom
Compaq 15.6-inch Notebook, Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 6 Hours Battery Life, AMD Turion II Processor M500 2.2 GHz, 320 GB HDD, 3 GB RAM, Nvidia 8200 £419.99 @ Play

Faster processor, Windows 7 already installed, larger hard-drive, decent battery life... less RAM though.

There may also be a £5 off voucher and Quidco too. (Shows expired but it's still current)

It is nonsense paying £21.99 *delivery charge for the Windows 7 upgrade software it is available everywhere now so it should come with it

So even if a deal comes along that is significantly cheaper, (as in a good bit more than £22) but you need to spend 22 quid to upgrade it, you are saying always go for the Windows 7 model?

That's not like any way I save money! :?

Like every other deal, any time, the way to get a good deal is to look at what is on offer for what price and decide on that. Having high ideals about not paying over inflated upgrade costs is all well and good, but only if it means getting it the other way is cheaper, and often, it isn't - just as you would expect; there have been some good offers around on machines which need the updating, giving more than a 22 quid saving!

As far as installing Windows 7 on a new laptop, it takes barely any longer than setting it up does when you first turn on a laptop and it sets itself up anyway, so it's not much effort of you can find a saving.

NO! With THIS DEAL as the upgrade software is available now - it should come with it.
The upgrade to Windows 7 option "when it is released" option was around for months. IT HAS BEEN RELEASED

Ah it didn't read that way.

That said, you would still need to apply for a disk, they would never be held in stock as it is the serial/CoS that needs to follow on, after eligibility is checked out; and that would inevitably be charged for anyway, after all it isn't "free" for everyone - although the cost should be a lot lower anyway.

It has just been seen as a good little earner by most of the PC manufacturers :-(

Now £359.99

is the 8200m capable of mkv full hd playback?
