160GB Hard Drive
DVD ReWriter Drive
Intel GMA 4500MHD Graphics
17" WXGA Bright View *Wow*
Built in Webcam
3.26 kg Weight

A friend of mine picked one of these up from pcworld the other day, for the money i was quite impressed, even has a HDMI output slot on the left hand side, lovely screen!

Hot, surprised this isn't hotter, seems like a good price for a large screen compaq, a similar spec, same price 17 inch lappy went very hot a while back, think it was a toshiba with an AMD chip.

good deal

Is this really WXGA or WXGA+? Seems kinda pointless to have a 17" screen and only 1280x800 resolution

T3400 is almost as slow as you get get, there's nothing "*Fast*" about it lol. No mention of how many cells the battery has, a 17" (*Wow* lol) screen will soon eat the battery up if it's only 6 cells.

Now this is VERY VERY tempting!

Hot!

Vista Home Basic.

Why do they do that? How much more would it cost to include an OEM version of one of the better versions of Vista?

More than the price Currys want to buy them in at so they can advertise a 17" laptop

Nearly everything in DSGi you see at the low-end is built to a price so they can advertise something.

I don't see what's so hot about this, I know I would much prefer a 15.4 inch laptop with a core 2 duo processor and a bigger hard drive, they are commonly around the same price, and they usually have vista premium, have to vote cold on this one, sorry.
