does anyone know the battery life on this? or do i take it that because it wasn't mentioned in the spec then it's the usual 3 cell?

Sorry... but I just can't understand why anyone would want a Netbook this large (10.2'') add to that the price, just totally defeats the object IMO.

or if you have nus or use rac you get it for 5% off that takes ti to aroudn 285 + quidco

There's going to be at least half a dozen people recommeding the (cheaper) NC10 over this.

Also, personally if I was going to have a screen size that large I would want the resolution to be higher. Otherwise it's just bigger pixels than the same resolution 8.9" screens of every other netbook.

I think the Optical drive is an error at Play.com. I can't find any other site that refers to it, including the spec at HP.

I'm 99% sure this doesn't include any DVD drive. Unless Play are throwing in an external one?

all about opinions,i think a 10.2" screen is an ideal size for a netbook as long as the resolution is upto it.

The advantage of a 10 inch screen isn't really the screen itself, but the larger keyboard that goes with it.

Is the NC10 cheaper than this? please point me in the right direction.

I'm sure that is just the same netbook, still branded as Compaq (but it is essentially HP as they own them).

Its available in Currys (and online) for £299.99. OK its not cheaper, but it is available now in store or to order.

You can use net3 and feb2 codes at dixons and get it for £285.17 so have to say cold

You can get this for £206.17 from HP website (using 10% discount code and 8% quidco cashback)
