This isn't just a recharge, its a service of the whole air conditioning system plus a recharge.

Its like you posting a 3 course meal for £10 and I vote you cold saying I got a main course elsewhere for £7.50

Bargain! Where's that at then? :-D

I'm not a fan of puddings and I find starters fill me up so I don't enjoy the main course

Only joking, £69 seems a good deal to me, heat added.

I wonder if those voting cold are being ironic?

i didnt vote cold, its a good deal for anyone who wants the '3 course meal', just stated the offer in kwic fit as someone might want the cheap fix of a recharge.

the charge should last bout 3/5 years and the filters about 8/10. depending on use.

I wouldn't trust Nationwide or KwikFit to change a bulb. If you think that someone who has probably been on a 2 hour course on "servicing" air conditioning units in cars is competent then go ahead and use them. I'd rather pay a specialist who has a reputation to maintain, not companies with a large advertising budget.

I went for this Nationwide offer. I hadn't had the aircon re-charged or serviced since new (10 years). I hadn't used the aircon for several years due to worries about health issues with such an un-serviced system.

The good news -
1. They only charged the £69, saying there were no faults with the system
2. I have now used the system and not gone down with Legionnaires

The bad news -
It doesn't actually seem to do much cooling

Maybe an auto-mechanic out there might have an opinion on the reality of bringing a 10-year old aircon back to life.

I want to get this done for my car, but a past experience with kwik-fit proved to be less than satisfying. They give cowboys a bad name. I've used Nationwide before, but they don't really fill me with confidence for some reason.

Didn't vote cold by the way!

If that was me I would go back and tell them to do the job properly or demand your money back as its not just a recharge, its supposed to be a full service.:x
