Has been a lower price but still a good grab at this price!

The series is set in fictional locales heavily modelled on American cities, while an expansion for the original was based in London. Gameplay focuses on an open world where the player can choose missions to progress an overall story, as well as engaging in side activities, all consisting of action-adventure, driving, occasional role-playing, stealth, and racing elements.

Yeah this normally drops to 4.99, i would wait, if it doesnt, then buy it on the last day.

So we have to ignore the definition of the word complete?

The person posting has done nothing wrong, it is called Complete, your problem is with Steam not the OP.
As said, probably better waiting it out till the last day of the sales and seeing if it shows up cheaper, it was £4.99 in the winter sale.
Is it just as easy to mod these games (for offline play!) if they are steam versions?
The pre GTA IV games do not support the 360 controller do they? Are the controls a nightmare to configure?
It's been 4.99 before and will be again methinks.

Worth it just for parking up and listening to the radio.

They do support pads but in all honesty you'd be better off with a keyboard and mouse, there's no optimisation for the 360 pad. GTA3 and Vice City on a console have very odd controls if you're used to the newer games, can't quite remember off the top of my head but it's not the same as modern FPS (left stick move, right stick look). Might be that left and right strafe in either direction? I would think that would also translate through to the PC port.

GTA San Andreas uses the left stick walk/right stick look updated combo and I *think* a 360 controller can be mapped relatively easily (it's been years since i've played it on PC). The issue always seemed to be succesfuly mapping the analog sticks and triggers.

When I tried Vice City the 360 controller worked with default settings and seemed to be fine. I didn't have to change any settings on it which helped a lot since I personally find GTA very difficult with the mouse and keyboard.

Its been a while since I played the GTA-3 series games (and "360 controllers" weren't a consideration at the time) but I seem to remember that flying stuff (eg helicopters and the Dodo) worked much better on a mapped Rumblepad 2 than with kb/ mouse.
When it came out I played San Andreas on PC using a PS2 controller adapator and found it pretty easy to replicate the PS2 controls. Assuming they haven't changed too much since then (and why would they?) I think using a 360 controller shouldn't be too hard.
Cold - picked this up for £4.99 in the winter sale. I would wait to see this goes to 75% by the end of the sale.

As a quick note it takes some work to get some of these ports to work on PC and don't expect much help from valve/steam
I have GTA IV already and a game save if I buy this will the game save still work ?
Glad I bought this for £19.99 10 days ago...DOH!

[LOCAL\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\ --- Saved games and configs
[DOCUMENTS]\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\ --- Miscellaneous user data

I previously got all for £5 not hot
Cold. GTA IV is the only one worth buying for PC even that is a very poor port. If you are after the complete pack though its a good price, even so should be cheaper by the end of the sale.
im also going to wait for this to go down to 4.99
though this price is still very very good!

Totally disagree. GTA IV is not a very fun game. The only thing it has over San Andreas is graphics.
Every time GTA goes on sale, people overlook this pack (judging by the top sellers) and go for the game on its own - which costs the same. Worse, some people go for GTA IV complete, which costs £2.50 MORE. Insane.

Edit: I got this pack for £4.99 last October. Wait for that. Very likely to show up in this sale.

But then you don't get the fun games in the series, like Vice City and San Andreas.

When should I wait until, when does the sale finish and when should we expect it to drop to 4.99?
Anybody managed to get San Andreas working with PS controller?

The pack should be 75% aswell and this deal continues untill the 23rd so you got plenty of time if it doesn't :P
Seen a lot of stuff about Steam, might have to investigate.

Not sure my laptop would be up to playing much, but what do people use for controllers? Don't fancy playing GTA with a keyboard
