good for all xbox 360 owners, keeps xbox cool and has good outputs.

IT DOESNT USE THE XBOX'S POWER SUPPLY

Maybe worth mentioning these invalidate your warranty. They can leave heat marks where they have been in contact with the unit so MicroSoft can see them if you return your box for repair.

They also can cause crashes because they bleed off of the XBoxes power supply, so if your PSU output and 360 consumption is borderline it could be bad.

I cancelled an order from Woolworths for 2 of them @ £5 each around Christmas when I read up on the pros and cons.

That said, they can in some cases help.

From experience I can''t agree with Cackles but I wouldn't recommend a cheapo unbranded unit either

ive heard they can ban you from xbox live as they think your xbox is modded, not sure if this is correct but thats why i got rid of mine and the fact it makes it twice as loud ! :w00t:

 There is no way they can detect these, it simply takes 12v from the powersupply to power the fans, before it reaches the XBOX

That said, I don't really think it's worth splashing out on something like this. Those video outputs do look handy, but there are plenty of leads out there that do the same job for less

It doesnt power off the PSU, if you go to the website and look at the pics it actually powers off the av output so it doesnt absorb power like a intercooler would

I read reviews and bought a similar item......my xbox began showing rings of death so in the end I stopped using it and the rings stopped also....so I'd say avoid at all costs

Avoid.. Seriously..

Extra fans on the 360 is a bad idea, also this does not support the HDMI version of the 360, unofficial, and looks poorly made.

If I was given one, I would not risk using it.

you could always cut the fan off and use the ports on it?

the fans actually restrict the cooling of the xbox! so avoid
if you do cut off the fans you're still restricting the flow.

The 360 does a reasonable job without these cheap addons.. if you want better cooling then youll need to upgrade your fans by opening and replacing (btw the new MS (refurbed 360) ones are much better than 3rd party e,g whisper).
