Internal DVB-S Satellite card.
Have just bought one of these and installed under Windows 7.
Works flawlessly under W7 Mediacentre. Loads of free to air channels and best of all BBCHD and ITVHD.

Oh wow. I didn't realise that DVB-S could pick up BBC HD and ITV HD. What's the reasoning behind DVB-S2 then?

because they can't leave anything alone especially or AV kit which they seem to think we constantly enjoy buying new variants

DVB-S2 = h264 encoding
DVB-S = Mpeg2 encoding

big difference , better quality at same bandwidth , is the idea.

I have a motorised sat setup....can i put a sat feed into this?

DVB is a transport system, it has nothing to do with how the video is encoded. BBC HD and ITV HD use H.264 over DVB-S and it works just fine. The advantage of DVB-S2 is it takes less satellite transponder capacity to transmit the same datastream (20-30% less if memory serves). DVB-S2 capability is a bit pointless on PC cards at the moment since there are no free-to-air DVB-S2 channels broadcast on the 28E sat cluster.

Does it work with plugins like vplug i wonder?
