100 balls lasts you no time at all. Especially if you're going to be there all day.
You'll spend a fortune on extra paintballs.

We used to sneak in a single tube each, holds 200, and we'd still end up buying maybe 500 between us, which is about £20 (back in the day).

A tub of 2,000 from the suppliers was about £16, so the mark up was massive. I can only imagine what it is today.

PS If you sneak your own paint in, it's a roll of a dice if it's the same colour the site uses... Other wise if they're that bothered they can quickly catch you with very little detective work
Holy crap this is next door to me... Didn't know it existed!

I used to love laying proximity mines under walkways and spawn points... that one where you spawn above the toilet was a dazzler

Second that, I did a groupon deal for the Kidderminster paintball site, it’s great fun but again 100 paintballs won’t last you the day.

Luckily I managed to impress the other players with my team leading and gung ho skills, that they donated me 400 paintballs and smoke grenades by lunch time to finish the rest of my games off.

Ensure you take cash to cover the cost of extra paintballs and listen to the Martials. Safety first!

Sounds a lot cheaper than the people that try to sign you up in Tesco's...

Eh?
While 'Dominos Pizza' is a slightly different gimmick, as others have said, this is really standard marketing method to sell expensive paintballs, which is their business model.

Get a good deal by negotiating before hand for a higher number of paintballs included - they would give them away, but typically value stuff more if they've paid for it, so more likely to turn up.

Maybe an okay deal if you're a parents that don't want to get involved, but want the pizza and will give the extra 100 balls to your kids or something if you can get away with that.
see if there is a battelfield live near you, it uses lasers so no paint ball charges.
Is it 18+ ?
Would it be a bad sport to just take the deal of cheap pizza and free drinks and just not shoot each other? Or maybe shoot one ball every few minutes?

No they absolutely don't allow you to take your own paintballs. Once we did that but had to buy some of theirs too so we wouldn't get rumbled. There was a bout 8 of us amongst a large group of their players. On the last game we realised we had hundreds of paintballs left so just went bezerk. The sky was literally filled with paintballs for a solid 30 minutes

The best feeling when you don’t have to keep count of your ammunition and you can just spray the arena site and wait till the other players run out of paintballs. Carnage
Only ever went once, thought I killed a guy! Hit him in the neck between overall and helmet from 100 yards, he screamed and collapsed. Saw him later in the carpark sporting a bruise the size of a dinner plate, didn't let on it was me, if you're reading, sorry!

If you’re really that poor and desperate for pizza then maybe? it would be a long and boring day though

To open people's minds here we go. Paintball sites make money on the balls and the fridge only. Everything else is a loss. This is not a good deal though. You get 100 paintballs each which you have to pay for up front as a deposit for each person. you then have to buy paint on top.

Best advice is contact your local independent site and ask for deals directly for upfront cost e.g days play with 1000 balls each (that's the minimum I'd suggest?)
‘Probably’ going to cost you more than a fiver for the day.... Probably indeed.

1000 at least, EACH. That will cost a ton, if you want to actually have fun for a whole day.

Not your fault, sounds like the marker was running hot (too high a velocity). If it was winter too sites use winter paint which is as hard as marbles to cut down on breaks inside the marker.
If I buy for two but I come alone do I get two guns and double ammo so I can dual wield?
Also what's the pizza size, what's the pizza?
Buy one of every colour and use the right colour given on the day they won't tell. Return the rest to where you bought them for a full refund

Or just do Airsoft instead, you can bring your own stuff or rent it, but to buy the equipment instead of renting it's got to be your hobby, if not rent the gear and bring your own pellets
Better than Paintball
Ive never been I compared how much they charge for ammo Vs getting online and pretty much the same if not cheaper

But it's not as cheap as £5 it's £29 if renting, £10 if you've got all the gear but you'll be spending more money to get the same level as fun and ammo with paintball
If they didn't screw you on paintball pricing it would be s good deal

TLDR- For the best deal, call your local site directly and stay safe!

Having volunteered at a local site for a while as a Marshall, I can pretty confidently say that the best deal is usually achieved by contacting the site directly. Many are affiliated with large booking companies like IPG (the people you see in your local supermarket) who act as promoters with the site seeing little to no money for the initial "tickets". Sites are always keen to offer the best deals to encourage new and returning players and will be able to offer far more detail up front about expected additional costs and extras.
I would say the average person will shoot between 500-1000 paintballs in a day depending on their trigger control, marker reliability(which can vary wildly) and average length of survival time. It's easy to have a great time with 500 balls, charging forward and trading out early in the game but sitting back and trying to hit a target at long range your best option is accuracy through volume so cough up that little bit extra early. Depending on the site, many offer bulk price discounts which are great if you are in a group.
A few people have suggested bringing your own paint, though some sites offer "walk ons" where players are permitted to bring their own equipment, it is usually against the company policy to allow "rental players" to use any of their own. This is mostly for your safety and for the safety of other players and Marshall's. Players will often purchase equipment which does not meet basic safety regulations from cheap online retailers which in the example of goggles/masks meant they could not withstand an impact from a paintball. In a similar fashion sites regulate their paint to ensure quality and consistency alongside safety. Sites may be required to only use bio fill paint to protect the environment, choose to use winter paint in colder seasons to improve performance or prefer the use of specific colours. Paint has to be stored properly to prevent it from becoming rubbery and likely to cause more harm as it is less frangible. Some players have apparently attempted to freeze their paintballs which can cause severe injury. At the end of the day paintball is extremely safe but only if the correct equipment is used in the intended way.
