Chris Moyles and Dave Vitty from Radio 1 have been on air for 52 hours solid, and have just raised £2,406,648 for Comic Relief, as well as beating a world record.

This is a remarkable achievement and demonstrates the nation's enormous love for his show.

Well done Chris and Dave, an amazing effort for charity!

Now read his autobiography, reduced to £5.99 at Amazon.

I thought this would happen.

So many people are easily lead by tabloid media.

Millions of people have just contributed to Comic relief thanks to Mr Moyles efforts.

Please look beyond your jaundiced views.

luv him got it on audio book

I.m not a fan but to raise over two million, you have to take your hat off to him.
Think i'll give his book a miss though.
Good price and nicely posted so heat added.

Still no reason to buy his book.

Being unfunny for 52 hours is no great achievement. Good on all those who donated towards the £2m. Perhaps Chris can donate the proceeds of his book to Comic Relief?

Well done and all that but surely your 5.99 would be better given to charity and not in moyles' pocket?

Celebs happy to help,on condition they get to look good on TV and plenty of future lucrative work from their raised profiles. Meanwhile hundred of thousands of people do good work volunteering and go ignored.

He'll probably get 19p of that but I agree just give £5.99 to charity not to Amazon/delivery company/publisher/printer/Chris

The first book is an interesting read, especially for the fans.

Such negativity out there, but never mind. I just felt the man deserves some credit.

From reading that I can't tell what side of the discussion you're on - you could take it either way.

But really well done to him for helping to raise the money, that's great. But the guy is famously very well paid as it is and none of the proceeds of the book go anywhere but to him and his publishers (unless they have hidden this information). So a hearty slap on the back for his contribution to Comic Relief no thanks to the book.

Incidentally - is this his "toilet" book?

Why would he donate the proceeds of his book?
Time is a lot more valuable than money.
He's given 50 odd hours of his time on the radio for free. Imagine what his wages would have been for that!?

he deserves credit (even though i think, in the words of steve merchant, hes fat and talentless) but it doesnt mean im going to give him money for rasing money for charity. in fact, i URGE people not to by this book and instead give £6 to comic relief

Well done for raising the money but I still think he's a bully surrounded by (trying not to act scared) sycophants. JMO

Agreed. Fair play to raising the money but basically done his job (which he is paid 100s of thousands to do!) for longer than usual!

This is exactly the impression I got when I caught his show the other day.

Its great that all this money has been raised (lets hope it get used properly tho0, but the only reason he signed up to this is because he knows his job at Radio 1 is in the balance. He's only doing the morning show until his contract expires, then its up to the BBC to decide if he stays or not.

Wouldnt touch his book tbh. Its a good way to get free publicity & extra money in his pocket should he get the boot. As others have said would rather give the 5.99 to charity

Fat, useless lump of unfunny blubber...!

...if you want to give to charity, give it direct to the charity...if you really want to read this book you need serious help!!!

52 hours Oplease its bad just flicking to radio 1 in the morning and chris the big mouth is talking kack about himself or ripping into someone.Cold vote from me.

I don't mind these 'celebrities' releasing a book about themselves, but please do it at the end of your life, when there's actually stuff to read.

Book is garbage but come on you got to love him in the morning. Thumbs up for the marathon broadcast, I for one really enjoyed it. And hey Krinkle ( why oh why oh why would you even call yourself that) no need to get personal, does it really make you feel better about your self????

It's quite an achievement but it doesn't make me want to read his book. I'll give an extra £6 to red nose day instead.

Most "celebrity" books are ghost-written name-dropping bore-fests anyway and I somehow doubt that Moyles' musings are much worth reading. Being a good laugh on the air is unlikely to make him a literary genius and I don't think I can take several hundred pages of being told how wonderful the author thinks he is.
