I've never really been a Converse fan, no particular reason, I don't even own one, but I'm considering getting one.

l have noticed their products reduced massively across the board on ALOT of clothing sites and retailers, with discount ranging from 35% to a whopping 70%.

So my question, is Converse as a brand in financial troubled waters or is this kind of sale a yearly occurence?

Converse Chuck Taylor high and low tops are their most popular shoe and have been around for donkeys years. They also do seasonal and limited editions versions which will be discounted to make way for new stock as any other retailer would do.

You will rearly ever pick up a pair of plain Black or White Chuck Taylor shoes for less than £40-£50 but if you're not bothered about the colour you can often pick up a pair for £20-£25 like the ones posted here.

I know some folks who wouldn't wear them as they feel quite flat underfoot compared to other trainers. You'll also find a bargain on Schuh, Amazon, M&M Direct and converse.com so if you do decide to pick up a cheap pair it won't be the end of the world if you don't like them.

Do you over analyse every purchase or just shoes...?!
Converse are owned by Nike anyway, they’ll never be in trouble.

Not a fan of one stars but heat for the price

Well... Nope. I've bought about 8 pairs : 4 formal shoes [thank you *HousesofFraser] + others being trainers in the last 2 months.
Reason being, I recently decided to change my wardrobe, and I've been looking here and there.

One would be blind not to have noticed the massive discounts, particularly with Converse, if I may add, similar trends TransAtlantic as well. Maybe my analytical mindset from my line of work crossed over, I neither follow nor take not of the brand normally, hence my initial post, with the hopes someone may clue me in, simply because this stood out to me.

@ Jameseh
Thanks for the response. I actually didn't know that. TIL.
