Nice spot, but wish you hadn't, just fitted this tap (at 49.99).......

Buy it and return with your old receipt

Had this tap lasted less than 5 years and now binned.
That's my problem with these taps too. They just don't last long and most come with ceramic cartridges which can't be replaced. Any idea if this has replaceable cartridge?
Changing a kitchen tap is absolute nightmare. I would rather pay twice the price but have something reliable.

I've had two fitted for over a year. What made yours fail?
Thanks op Just ordered one

Check out eBay... Tons of cartridges available nowadays.
I'm not saying yours will be, but I've found replacements for every single different ceramic tap in my house.
It all depends if they designed to be opened up again for replacement or not.
If this has replaceable cartridge then It would be worth it. Cartridges are widely available nowadays.
Cracking price @idontflycathay I have not even installed the previously bought kitchen tap from your deal and here is another good one

Ceramic cartridges can be replaced, quite easily too!

Not always the case. I've seen some taps where they just pressed handle on with machine and it won't come off without breaking with part of cartridge in the handle.
Thanks op. Looking for deals to come up at Screwfix for days!
40026713-iFrYo.jpgSome taps like the one above are not worth repairing but the one in this deal would be repairable.
Got one of them.. spout stuck solid.. cant spin it left or right at all...
Great deal. We just replaced one similar and went for the all cheap and cheerful screwfix one. This is a great price even for 2 years worth in my opinion
Bought cheap tap on Amazon and for the life of me haven't a clue how you could replace cartridge, had three of the Victorian ones with ceramic handles, all very easy to replace cartridge.
had three of these in 3 years. They are no good in hard water areas.......or with lots of use.............
Won't recommend Cooke and Lewis. Poor quality. Got issues with their hob and tap. Changing cartridges every few months or so as they start dripping. First cold then hot tap, then cold etc

I'd say might be worth checking the barcode numbers are the same when it arrives. If not...I hope you kept your old box swap them over.
I got exactly the same tap in my kitchen and it is constantly dripping at around 2 drips a second. Its driving me crazy!!
I'm told it's a massive pain to replace/fix this
Had one for three years now. No issues with it apart from the spout is a bit wobblier than it used to be. Not hard to replace either.
Compatible replacement ceramic values are linked in the Screwfix QA and only cost £5 for a two pack.

Put an elastic band around the tap levers - this pulls them together and should stop the dripping. Remove the band after a few weeks and the drip should be sorted.
That's what I did and it worked!

Same here, not the best quality.

Thanks for heads up! Is that a permanent fix or a workaround?

Another good suggestion!
I have the box and will compare. The Screwfix number is the same ...
Had a similar looking one but from another brand. Works fine but a pain as you have to adjust each tap to get the right sort of temperature. Really impractical when you’re carrying something with one hand and trying to open the tap... it’s in the loft now and we got a monobloc one (one handle to control temp and flow).

I've bought Carron taps (quality?), last about 4 years in a hard water area. The original cartridges are £15 each plus post.
I've other ceramic disc taps (bathroom) that are 25 years old and fine. Sorry can't see the make!

There are literally dozens of different cartridges, most requiring use of Vernier calipers to accurately measure....also numerous numbers of splines.
So Screwfix's 'fit most 1/2" taps' cartridges seems a bit wide of the mark - but a very good price if they do fit!
These are terrible. I fitted one and it was faulty (cold water didn’t turn off fully and dripped). Returned and replaced with a 2nd that developed a drip after a couple of months! To be fair to screwfix they exchanged without any bother and even gave a £20 credit toward another tap .
Same as above - mine drips constantly and will be going in the bin this weekend as I am sick to death of replacing cartridges - I'd avoid this at all costs

Well it should stop the dripping and driving you nuts, how permanent the fix is only time will tell...
Hope you have the same success.
Good luck!
Doesn't this tap leak? The screw at back comes out?

Agreed. Ours now leaks after 5 years. Looks like cartridges cannot be replaced on these.
Thank you, been waiting for one of these for a while. Couldn’t justify the £50!

Yeah pretty sure I looked to replace them and couldn't.
