the main reason of the posted deal, is that i am not sure if this is actually a deal. I received email this morning from clifford james that in their january sale is included this Cooks Professional Stand Mixer3 in 1.What do you think about this?? is it really worth the money??
Description taken from the webside

With a powerful 650W motor, the stand mixer from Cooks Professional allows you to create a whole range of delicious, home-made food. Ideal for preparing bread dough, pasta, mince, cake mix, smoothies, sauces and much more – the uses are endless. Cutting preparation time in half, it has a choice of attachments – flat beater, whisk, dough hook, mincing attachment and pasta discs for various recipes. At the back of the unit is also a lift off panel for attaching the 1 litre blending jug (included), allowing you to crush ice and create smoothies, sauces and marinades with ease.

The large 5 litre mixing bowl is great for mixing large quantities without spillage, and six speed settings make mixing, whipping, whisking and kneading a breeze. Mains powered, the stand mixer comes complete with a tilting head for easy removal of the bowl. The main body of the mixer is made from ABS plastic, the whisk and bowl are made from stainless steel and the mincer, dough hook and mixing beater from aluminium.

Available in Silver (D5222), Cream (D5746) and Black (D5747)

if you vote cold, please tell me why, as i'm really struggling to make my decision
Good piece ?
They were selling a while back ie in last 3 months on ebay for £89 and I was tempted back then, but the keep putting the price up. I also read somewhere a review which said that the motor packe din after very little use so they sent it back and got a Kenwood instead.
Unfortunately I can't recall where I saw the review.
My Mrs has got the exact same one (i bought it for £99 can't rememebr where though, might have been Groupon)

Its really good, the only thing she doesn't like about it is, it's quite noisy when the mixing.
I think with the extras it actually means you get a worse mixer (power etc). If you read the reviews on Amazon rated very good. There is a lower starred review which comments on noise. I guess by the look of them they are identical machines with different badges. If you go on the Andrew James website they have an identical one with the mincer etc (but more expensive).
Probably going for the £99 Andrew James machine but my girls only want it for baking etc so no interest in the extras.

cheers:)) Your comments are helpful for me:))
Plenty of gadgets on this but have found that you need to keep cleaning the bowl when mixing cakes , the beater just won't reach the sides so you have to use a spatchula to constantly clean it off a real pain. Great for making bread dough but not so good for Victoria sponges. Now make my cakes by hand as by the time I have stopped and cleaned the sides it's easier to make the by good old elbow power.
